266Inv <br />SELECTMEN'S MEETING <br />March 21, 1938.' <br />A special meeting of the Board of Selectmen was held <br />in the Selectmen's Room, Town Office Building, at 7:15 <br />P.M. Chairman Giroux and Messrs. Potter, Ross, Clark and <br />Rowse were present. The Clerk was also present. <br />The Chairman said that the purpose of the meeting was <br />to make last minute changes before the Town Meeting. He <br />Vine Brook said that there was a balance of $1300. left in the appro- <br />Engineering priation for Vine Brook Engineering, and asked if the Board <br />wished to have this transferred to the Engineering Approp- <br />riation, thereby decreasing the amount to be taken out of <br />the tax levy. Mr. Ross moved that this transfer be approved. <br />Mr. Potter seconded the motion and it was so voted. <br />The Chairman said that there was only $7100. available <br />for transfer in the Road Machinery Fund, and asked what the <br />Board wished to do, inasmuch as $7500, had been approved <br />for the Road Machiner Account. Mr. Potter moved that the <br />amount be reduced to 7100. Mr. Rowse seconded the motion, <br />Road and it was so voted. Mr. Rucker, Chairman of the Approp- <br />Machinery riation Committee, appeared before the Board, and said <br />Account. that that body had approved an appropriation of $7500., the ' <br />balance of $400. to be raised from revenue. He said that <br />the idea was to keep this account at $7500. and Mr. Rowse <br />agreed with him. Mr. Clark moved that the previous vote <br />approving $7100. be rescinded, and Mr. Potter seconded the <br />motion; it was so voted. Mr. Clark then moved that the sum <br />of $7500. be approved for the Road Machinery Account, <br />100, to be transferred from the Road Machinery Fund and <br />00. to be raised from revenue of the current year. Mr. <br />Potter seconded the motion and it was so voted. <br />Police The matter of the appropriation for Police Pensions <br />Pensions. was discussed, and Mr. Potter moved that the $2220. origin- <br />ally approved stand. Mr. C7a rk seconded the motion,.and it <br />was so voted. Mr. Giroux voted in opposition. <br />Town Office Mr. Rowse moved that the Town Office and Cary Memorial <br />and Cary Building appropriation be reduced by $35.00 on the item for <br />Memorial water, to agree with the recommendation of the Appropriation <br />Buildings. Committee. Mr. Clark seconded the motion, and it was so voted. <br />Mr. Clark moved that some time during the Town Meeting <br />Vote on Mr. Giroux make the statement that the total budget was <br />budget., approved by a majority of the Selectmen, and not be unanimous <br />vote. Mr. Rowse seconded the motion and it was so voted. I The meeting adjourned at 7:55 P.M. <br />A true record, Attest: <br />Clerk. <br />
