334 <br />r� <br />�c <br />SPECIAL MEETING <br />MARCH 9, 1937 <br />A special meeting of the Selectmen was held in the <br />Selectmen's Room, Town Office Building, at 4:00 P.M. <br />Chairman Ferguson, Messrs. Potter, Giroux, Clark and <br />Ross were present. The .Clerk was also present. <br />The Board compared the recommendations of the <br />Appropriation Committee with the recommendations of the <br />Selectmen and acted on those items on which the -two <br />bodies differred as follows: <br />Assessors Office: The Appropriation Committee recommended <br />Assessors <br />600.00 for Expenses and the Selectmen recommended <br />715.00 for Expenses. It was decided to concur with the <br />Appropriation Committee in the amount of $600.00 for <br />Expenses. <br />Law <br />Law Department: The total amount approved by the <br />Department <br />Selectmen for Salaries and Expenses was $2537.50 and <br />the total amount approved by the Appropriation Committee <br />was $2387.50. It was voted to concur with the Approp- <br />riation Committee on the amount of $2387.50. <br />Town Offices and Car Memorial Buildin : The total <br />Town Off- <br />amount app-r-o-v-FT7y tHe 3eiectmen was 4 ,144.17, and <br />ices and <br />the total amount approved by the Appropriation Committee <br />Cary Mem. <br />was $10,000.00. It was voted to concur with the <br />Bldg. <br />Appropriation Committee on the amount of $10,000.00. <br />En ineerin De artmeht: The Selectmen recommended an <br />Engineering <br />appropriation of §14,;�60;68. The Appropriation Committee <br />Dept. <br />recommended an appropriation of $12,629.84. Mr. <br />Giroux moved that the Selectmen stand on the $14,260.68 <br />originally approved. Mr. Potter seconded the motion and <br />it was so voted. <br />Fire Department: The total amount approved by the <br />Fire Dept. <br />Selectmen was 7580. for Expenses, and the amount <br />approved by the Appropriation Committee was $7980.00. <br />It was decided to stand on the original recommendation <br />of $7560.00 for Expenses. <br />Shade Trees: The amount approved by the Selectmen for <br />Shade Wages and Expenses was 12637.00 and the amount approved <br />Trees by the Appropriation Committee was $2500.00. It'was <br />decided to concur with the Appropriation Committee on ' <br />the amount of X2500.00. <br />
