PVI <br />Salaries. <br />SPECIAL SELECTMEN'S MEETING <br />JANUARY 180 1937. <br />A special meeting of the Board of Selectmen was <br />held in the Selectmen's Room, Town Office Building, at <br />3:30 P.M. Chairman Ferguson, Messrs.Potter, Giroux, Clark <br />and Ross were present. The Clerk was also present. <br />Mr. Clark moved that in figuring the budgets for the <br />year 1937, the salaries be considered on the basis of <br />thhe rdstoration of the balance of the pay out, namely <br />Mr. Potter seconded the motion and it was so voted. <br />1 <br />1 <br />FII' <br />Mr. Clark moved that -the Selectmen recommend the dis- <br />'Break -down <br />continuance of breaking down departmental budgets to such <br />of <br />an extent that there is one account for salaries and <br />budgets. <br />another account for other items, due to the fact that <br />such a break -down increases clerical work and is costly <br />to the Town. Mr. Potter seconded the motion and it was <br />so voted. <br />Budgets were discussed as follows: <br />Selectmen's Appropriation. <br />Mr. Giroux moved that the budget be approved for <br />Selectmen's <br />$2236.00. Mr. Potter seconded the motion and it was so <br />budget. <br />voted. This does not include the salary of the Clerk and <br />other clerical expenses, but does include Seleetments <br />Expenses. <br />Public Works-SuRt's. Office. <br />Pub.Morm - <br />Mr. 91roux moved the budget be approved as <br />Supt's. <br />submitted for $5100. Mr. Potter seconded the motion and <br />Office. <br />it was so voted. This does not include the salary of <br />the Secretary. Mr. Raymond said that he originally had <br />asked $240.00 for supplies but believed this could be <br />cut down to $160,Wo0. <br />Town 2rke.s ani Cary Memorial Bldg. <br />'TXb total snmMnt requested was $9599.00.. Increases <br />in salary were requested for both the janitor and the <br />assistant janitor and the sum of $200.00 was requested <br />Town Office <br />for extra labor. Mr. Raymond said that this $200. would <br />and Cary <br />allow payment to Mr. Moloy for time expended on functions <br />Mem. Bldg, <br />that were not Town affairs. Mr. Giroux asked if he <br />thought Mr. Moloy would be satisfied with an increase <br />without being paid for overtime and Mr. Raymond said that <br />he thought he would. The Chairman said he thought it <br />would be better to pay hit for extra time but Mr. Potter <br />said that he would rather adjust his salary. The Chairman <br />said that he thought the assistant janitor was under- <br />paid.
