SELECTMENIS MEETING <br />MAY 120 1936. <br />A regular meeting of the Board of Selectmen was <br />held in the Selectmen Ts Room, Town Office Building, at <br />7:30 P.M. Chairman Ferguson, Messrs. Potter, Clark <br />and Ross were present. The Clerk was also present. <br />Mr. Giroux appeared at 9:00 P.M. <br />The Supt. of Public Works appeared and informed <br />the Bo.ard that the General Construction Co. had not <br />lived up to its agreement inasmuch as nothing had been <br />done on the tract of land on the Burlington side of <br />Adams Street. <br />The Clerk was instructed to notify the Town <br />Counsel that the bond should be renewed for another year <br />inasmuch as the General Construction Co. had not lived <br />up to its contract. <br />Mr. Clark moved that Mr. John W. Raymond, Jr., <br />be appointed Sponsor's Agent for the W.P.A. Mr. Ross <br />seconded the motion and it was so voted. <br />Mr. Raymond informed the Board that some patching <br />' had been done on Reed Street and that more was going to <br />bis done the next day. <br />The Chairman read a wire that had been received <br />from Edith Nourse Rogers stating that the Lincoln Street <br />project had been approved by the Comptroller General <br />on May 6th. <br />Mr. Raymond stated that Mr. Beach thought that the <br />project was in Boston now. <br />Mr. Raymond stated that the drain and catch basins <br />in Dexter Road had been cleaned out and there were no <br />obstacles in the pipe. He thought that either Mr. <br />Emmons' connection was defective or at the time he had <br />water in his cellar, the drain had more water in it <br />than it could carry. <br />The Supt. of Public Works stated the t Mr. Paxton <br />informed him that he would like to purchase a road <br />hone as he thoughttit was necessary for the type of <br />maintenance which he anticipates doing. He had a <br />price of $400. from the Good Roads Machinery Co. and <br />this item was included under equipment and repairs in <br />the Highway Maintenance budget. <br />The Chairman thought that the matter should be <br />1 held over for one week to see how much money was left <br />in the equipment and repairs account, and he thought <br />that Mr. Paxton should get prices from at least three <br />concerns. <br />Bond of <br />Gen.
