SELECTMEN I S MEETING <br />APRIL 2, 1935. <br />A regular meeting of the Selectmen was held in the <br />Selectmen's Room, Town Office Building, at 7:30 P.M. Messrs. <br />Fergu*on, Gilereast, Lyons, and Potter were present. The <br />Clerk was also present. <br />The records of the special meeting held on March 30, <br />1935, were read by Mr. Lyons, Temporary Clerk.4 and approved. <br />At 7:30 P.M. a group of citizens comprised of Messrs. <br />Francis E. Burke, Richard 6. McCabe, George E. Smith, Robert <br />J. Fawcett, $ehheth F. Clarke, George R. Fuller, and <br />Fletcher W. Taft came before the Board of Selectmen and <br />presented a petition for a Town Meeting to be held on <br />Apri1.15, 1935, containing two hundred and eight signatures. <br />The petition read as follows: <br />Lexington, Mass. <br />March 30, 1935. <br />We, the undersigned, registered voters of the town <br />of Lexington, hereby petition the Board of Selectmen to <br />draw a Warrant for a Town Meeting to be held on April 15, <br />' 1935, to act on the following articles: <br />Article 1. To see what action the Town will take to <br />investigate any or all of the acts of the present or former <br />Board of Selectmen, also the acts of their agents and <br />appointees, or any committee of the town, and to appoint a <br />Committee of three by vote of the meeting, to make said <br />Investigation,, or act in axjy manner in relation thereto. <br />Article 2. To see what action the town will take upon the <br />recent failure of the Board of Selectmen to reappoint the <br />former Superintendent of Public Works, and the appointment <br />of his successor. <br />Article 3. To see what action the Town will take upon the <br />recent failure of the Board of Selectmen to reappoint the <br />Clerk of the Board of Selectmen. <br />Article 4. To see what action the Town will take on the <br />reinstatement of the former Superintendent of Public Works. <br />Article 5. To see what action the Town will take on the <br />reinstatement of the former Clerk of the Board of Selectmen. <br />Article 6.
