48 C.71 <br />SELECTMEN'S MEETING <br />JUNE 12, 1934 <br />A, regular meeting of the Board of Selectmen was. <br />held in the Selectmen's Roo*, Town Office Building, at. <br />7:30 P.M. Messrs. Trask, Gilereast, Ferguson, O'Connell <br />and Lyons were present at the meeting. The Clerk was also <br />present. <br />The Board voted to tp:point the following as Special <br />Police during the duration of their work on the Concord <br />Special Ave. State Highway: James Collins, George E. Rudd,,Jamee <br />Police A. Guthrie, -James McKenzie, Robert Cady, Daniel F. Coughlin <br />and Thomas J. Doherty. <br />Commitment of water rates, $7.95, water service and <br />Commitment miscellaneous charges, $3$. and sewer service and rentals, <br />$206.34, was signed by the Board. <br />It was voted to grant the following licenses: <br />Anna Hannaford. Sunday Sales License <br />Licenses Gustave Bunzel Slaughter License <br />John McHugh. Garbage License <br />The Board also approved a license, for Sunday Golf <br />for the Sundays in June and July, of Cyril Wood and.Carl <br />Peterson, at Merrett Gardens. <br />Order of the Board of Appeals giving their.decision <br />on the application of Fanny P. grown for permission to <br />install a gasoline filling station, 4000 gallon capaelty, <br />at 859-863 Mass. Avenue in which they denied the application <br />on the grounds that the street is narrow at this point and. <br />Crown that there is no necessity for additional aceomodations for <br />Petition a gasoline station, was received. <br />The Board of Selectmen also voted teloeny the petition <br />of Fanny P. Crown. <br />The Chairman of the Board.cal led attention to the fact <br />that on Watertown Street, owing to the work being done on <br />the Concord Avenue job, there has been parking on the street <br />and inasmuch as the street is very narrow he felt t4at there <br />should be a regulation passed whereby no parking would be <br />allowed and the Chief of Police could then enforce the regu- <br />lation. <br />It was therefor voted to.adopt the following regulationst <br />WATERTOWN STREET ' <br />"There shall be no parking on either side of <br />Watertown Street from Pleasant Street to the Belmont <br />Line." <br />
