300 <br />V. <br />SELECTMEN'S MEETING <br />1 JUNE 27, 11933.• <br />A relgular meeting of the Selectmen was held at the <br />Selectmen's Room¢ Town Office Building at 7:30 P.M. Messrs. <br />Trask, Gilcreast' Ferguson, 0!Connell and Lyons were present. <br />The Clerk was Mo present. <br />State Aid pay roll in the amount of $27, was signed <br />by the Board. <br />Report was received from the Health Inspector in which he <br />stated that Mr. James F. Moran of Pleasant Street had now Moran, <br />white -washed his buildings and could noir be granted a permit pig <br />'to keep pigs if the Board so desired. permit. <br />It was therefor voted1to grant Mr. Moran a permit to <br />keep 850 pigs at his premises on Pla assn t Street. <br />It was vote to appoint Patrick J. Maguire as Dog <br />Dog <br />Officer and the og warrant Was also signed by the Chairman. <br />Officer. <br />Statement of the amount of relief furnished for <br />January, Februar� and March for aid was signed by the <br />Aid & <br />Board.. This return is made to the Dept. of Corporations <br />Relief. <br />and Taxation of the State and they in turn will report to <br />the Federal Emergency Relief Administration. <br />Application was received from George We Mark of <br />17 Lakeview Terrace, Waltham, in which he requested <br />Lunch <br />permission to operate a lunch cart at the cornfr of <br />Cart <br />Depot Park and Mass. Avenue on land owned -by the Scott Tea <br />refused. <br />Company. .After considering the application it was voted <br />not to grant a Common Victualler's License at this location. <br />Letter was received from James J. Carroll in which he <br />requested permis ion for the use of the band stand owned <br />by the town for e band of the Lexington Community <br />Recreation Assoc ation when they have band concerts for <br />Band <br />the benefit of the people of the town. The first concert <br />Stand, <br />is to be held on June 30,•1933. <br />The Chairman stated that the chairs that were used <br />by the band came from the Cary Memorial Building and should <br />not be used outf doors. The Board intend to purchase <br />some folding chairs and will loan them for this purpose <br />'from the Parjc Department. <br />' It was vote4•to approve the transfer of the Peddlers <br />License. <br />License issued to Ernest J. Collins to James C. Collins 01 <br />his son. <br />Applic tion of Old Age Assistance for Mrs. Alice <br />VIF3nslow <br />'Old Age, <br />of 16 Sp ing Street was referred to Mr. Giiereast <br />Winslow. <br />for his att ntio . <br />
