270 <br />SELECTMEN I S MEETING <br />MAY 16, 1933. ' <br />Mr. O'Connell reported that the Sacred Heart Church <br />desired to use Cary Memorial Hall on May 26th at which <br />Cary Hall, time they intended to hold a benefit, the proBeeds of <br />which"would be given to the pastor of the Sacred Heart <br />Church, who has been ordained for twenty-five years. <br />He requested that the hall be given at the minimum rate <br />of $15. and.the Board so voted. <br />Applications for Peddlers Licenses to peddle bakery <br />Licenses. goods were signed for Roy A. Patterson and Charles Be <br />heath= Both boys are employees of the Hathaway Baking <br />Company. <br />Program of the British Naval and Military Veterans <br />British Assoc. giving}activities to be held in Lexington May 81st <br />Veterans -was received. <br />Program The Chairman reported that he requested Mr. Gilcreast <br />to represent him in greeting the veterans. <br />Letter was received from the Town Clerk in which he <br />enclosed claim for personal injuries caused to Paul <br />Bloustein Bloustein, alleged to have been caused by defect in the <br />claim. sidewalk in front of premises #12 Sylvia Street, said to ' <br />have occurred on April 29th at 11 A. M. <br />Supt. of Public Works was requested to take a <br />photograph of the conditions and present the same to the <br />Board at their next meeting. <br />A regular meeting of the Board of Selectmen was held <br />in the Selectmen's Room, Town Office Building, at 7:30 <br />P.M. Messrs. Trask, Gilcreast, Ferguson.aiDtConnell and <br />Lyons were present. The Clerk was also present. <br />It was voted to grant the Lexington Drum Corps the <br />Cary Hall <br />use of Cary Memorial Hall on May 17th to conduct a dance <br />at the Minimum charge of $15. <br />Letter was received from the Town Accountant in which <br />he advised temporary loan in the amount of $175,000, dated <br />Tbmpprary <br />May 24,.1933 and payable April 11th, 1934. <br />batn. <br />It was voted to ,authorize the Treasurer to bring in <br />bids on this loan at the next meeting of the Board. <br />Posture <br />Clime <br />The Board voted to appoint the following as the <br />Posture Clinic Committee: Mr. S. Randolph Kelley, <br />Chairman; Miss Ruth E. Morrison; Mrs. William G,- Potter. <br />Board of <br />It was voted to appoint the following as members of <br />Appeals <br />the Board of Appeals under the Building Law: Arthur Be <br />Maddison, C. Edward Glynn, Roland W. Baldrey, Eioward <br />' <br />Robbins and Charles E.
