194 <br />01 <br />2C <br />c <br />SELECTMEN'S MEETING. <br />MARCH 7, 1933. <br />' <br />A regular meeting of the Selectmen was held at the <br />Selectmen's Room, Town Office Building, at 7:30 P.M. Messrs, <br />Trask, Gilereast, Ferguson, O'Connell and Lyons were present. <br />The Supt. of Public Works and the Clerk were also present. <br />The Board organized with Robert P. Trask as Chairman. <br />Mr. <br />It was voted to send a letter of thanks to Mr. Partridge <br />Gustance <br />for the ice cream and cake furnished on the night that Mr. <br />Custance served for the last time on the Board of Selectmen <br />and retired after giving nine years of service to the Town. <br />Mr. <br />Note of thanks was received from Mrs. Frederick L. <br />Emery. <br />Emery for the flowers sent on account of the death of her <br />husband who was Chairman of the Planning Board, <br />Pole <br />The New England Tel. & Tel. and E.E.I. Co. were granted <br />location <br />permission for joint location of seven poles on Ward Street <br />Bd, of <br />At 8 P. M. hearing was declared open by the Board of <br />Survey, <br />Survey on the 'lay out of Grant Street from the present <br />Givant St. <br />accepted end to East Street. <br />No persons appeared at the hearing and the Board voted <br />to approve the plan presented by the Town Engineer. <br />' <br />Hearing was declared open by the Board of Selectmen on <br />their notice to lay out Grant Street from Hayes Lane north- <br />easterly over the property of Hallie C. Blake, Frank E. <br />Fogg and Maurize P. Ahearn and Bertha V. Pichette, a <br />distance of approximately 450 feet. <br />No persons appeared to object to the lay out. <br />The Board therefore voted to make a layout over this <br />section of Grant Street. <br />It was understood that Mr. Richards, who had recently <br />purchased the Fogg property, would not ask for any damages <br />other than what would be the actual cost of moving his house <br />to the new location which would have to be done on account <br />Grant <br />of the lay out. <br />Street <br />The Town Engineer explained that there was a stone wall <br />28 feet high that would have to be blasted out and even <br />if the expense of taking the Fogg property was $2000, it <br />would be much more reasonable than, -to blast out the wall, <br />It was suggested that an agreement be obtained from <br />Mr. Richards incorporating a memorandum showing what he paid <br />for the property and stating that he felt that it was a <br />fair value for the property at that time. <br />Constantino Alberto came before the Board in regard to ' <br />Alberto his application for a two car garage to be located at the <br />Garage corner of Simonds Road and Harding Road, and presented the <br />plans which were now approved by the Building Inspector. <br />
