342 <br />SELECTMEAIS MEETING <br />MARCH 15, 1932. <br />A regular meeting of the Board of Selectmen was <br />held in the Selectmenfs'Room, Town Office Building, at <br />7:30 P. M. Messrs. Trask, Custance, Gilcreast, Ferguson <br />and O'Connell were present. The Supt. of Public Works <br />and the Clerk were also present. <br />The Board diseussed the application of Cdr. Paul <br />Bowser for permission to erect a four car garage with <br />an apartment over the garage for chauffeurs' quarters. <br />In the past, the regulations of the Dept. of Public <br />Safety designated a three car garage a public garage <br />and the Board of Appeals have had hearings for all <br />Bowser <br />garages with th,.t -capacity. The Dept. of Public <br />garage. <br />Safety Regulations, however, were changed this past <br />meek to allow garages with an area of 2000 feet to <br />be built and not designated as public garages. <br />The Board therefor decided to advertise the <br />hearing on March 29. <br />The petition of the N. E. Tel. & Tel. Co. to set <br />Pole <br />and remove one pole on Lincoln Strebt near Marrett Road <br />location, <br />was referred to the Supt. of Public storks <br />Letter was received from the Middlesex County <br />Extension Service advocating assistance to the <br />unemployed by requesting all persons in town that have <br />, <br />Unemploy- <br />apple trees that need to be cut down to have them cut <br />went• <br />by the unemployed and to give the wood to the Welfare <br />Department, thus helping out in more than one way. <br />The Board read the proposition of Mrs. Caroline <br />A. Harrington in connection with the settlement for the <br />Harrington <br />`establishment of the building line across her property. <br />case, <br />The Board agreed to settle for the sum of $3500. <br />Tie agreement was satisfactory to the Board. <br />It was voted to grant an auctioneerts-license to <br />Licenses, Jay 0. Richards and to Arthur H. McLearn of 31 Hancock <br />Street and 1387 Mass. Avenue respectively. <br />Mr. Richard B. Parker, corner of Bertirell and Eaton <br />Roads came before the Board to find out what their decision <br />?ar'er .pas regarding the location of his proposed garage. <br />garage.
