332 ►� <br />SELECTMENIS MNETTNG <br />FEB.230 1932. <br />A regularmeeting of the Board of Selectmen .s held <br />il' <br />in the Selectmen's Room, Town Office Building.., at %: O <br />P.M. Messrs. Trask, Custance, Blake, and Shannon were <br />present. The Supt. of Public Works a1 d the Clerk were <br />also present. <br />Letter was received from Mr. B. B. Howard fn rich <br />he stated that the F. E. I. Co. would install a new pole <br />Lights. near Martin's Dllva&-.St mi -e opposite the Lexington Theater' <br />with a 1QO0 candle power light on it without any charge- <br />to <br />harge-to the Town, <br />The Board believed this .would give sufficient light <br />to eliminate the danger to the Police Officer striding at: <br />this crossings <br />The Board voted to grant the use of the Cary Memorifil <br />Hall to the Lexington.Gitl Scouts .on April 9th for an <br />entertainment which is for the benefit of the Scouts End <br />Unemployment Relief:, <br />Cary Memorial <br />;fall. The Board voted to grant the Boy Scouts the use -of <br />the Cary Memorial Hall on Feb. 26th and Feb. 27th at the <br />rate of $10. each night. <br />Sewer Bid of $636.00 was received from the Mercury Printing ' <br />Company on the printing of the Metcalf and Eddy sewer <br />n,eport. report. <br />The Board felt that this was rather excessive and <br />decided not to print the report. <br />Letter was received from Mrs. Edith C. *Jeering in <br />regard to placing a stop sign at Burlington and North <br />Stop Hancock Streets. The Board felt that Mrs.Deering should <br />Sign. be informed that the Board in making their studies were <br />trying to eliminate the danger at this corner. <br />Letter was received from Frank P. Cutter agggesting <br />that the Board appoint unemployed persons when they <br />appoint election officers. <br />Election The Chairman was directed to reply to Mr. Cutter <br />stating that the law required that the election officers <br />Officers. be appointed in August, and this having teen done unless <br />they received a resignation they could not make any <br />appointments from the unemployed. <br />Notice of a hearing to be held February 24th at 10 <br />A. M. on House Bill #567 and Senate Bill #161 relative to <br />Mosquito Control was received. <br />Letter was received from', the Central New Englsmd ' <br />Tuberculosis Sanatorium in regard to the employment of amrested cases <br />cases. of Tuberculosis. It was -decided to make a cheek -up <br />of the Tuberzulosis.cas-es'oto see if there were any persons <br />who might take advantage of this. <br />
