Armington, Inc. <br />signed. <br />Letter was received from the Supt. of Public <br />Works in which he explained that the surface drainage <br />on Meriam Street is discharging into Vine Brook <br />through the property of Charles DeVeau when heavy <br />Gins occur of thawing of snow, and the amount of <br />water is greater than the pipe can carry. This causes <br />Drainage, <br />the water to back into the cellar of Mr. DeVeau ' s <br />Meriam St, <br />house leaving from five to eight inches of water in <br />the cellar. Mr. DeVeau asked permission to enter a <br />pipe into the under drain used during sewer construction <br />in order to keep the water drom flooding the cellar. <br />The Supt. recommended that he be allowed to do <br />this. <br />The Board considered the matter and voted to <br />grant Mr. DeVeau permission to enter this Pipe. <br />The Clerk reported on tete use of Cary Memorial <br />Hall by the Juvenile Music Club, Miss Alice N. Morse, <br />Junior Councillor, that the clubs were open to the <br />Juvenile <br />children of the public. The purpose of the club is <br />Music Club. <br />to give them musical interests in whatever they are <br />inclined toward doing. <br />The Board felt this was a very worthy cause and <br />voted to grant the use of the Hall free of charge for <br />' <br />this purpose, and a]so to grant the free use of the <br />Hall for the Boy t s Club and the Gill ► s Club next year. <br />The Chairman reported that Mr. F. L. Emery, <br />Chairman of the Field and Garden Club was agreeable <br />
