4e38 <br />SELEC77 N'S MEETTN^ <br />FEBURARY 24, 1931 <br />A regular meeting of the Roard;of Selectmen was held <br />at the Selectmen's loom, Town Office Building, at 7:30 <br />P.M. Messrs. Burnham, Custance, Trask, Shannon and Blake <br />were present. The Supt. of Public Works end the Clerk <br />were also present. <br />Building <br />Application was received for the position of Building <br />Inspector <br />Inspector from Walter 11. Kew, 16 Cliffe Ave. The <br />position. <br />application was acknowledged and placed on file until <br />a later date. <br />Town Clerk <br />The Chairman approved the bond of Helen C. Whittemore <br />bond. <br />as Town Clerk in the amount of 01000. <br />Notice was received from the County Gommissioner's <br />O='fice of a hearing to be held at 10 A.k. March 27, <br />Highway, <br />1931 on the petition for a street connecting Winchester <br />Winch. to <br />and Lexington at a Point on Lowell St., Lexington. <br />Lexington. <br />Letter was received. from F. L. "-mery in which he <br />mentioned si7ns ov-rhanging the sidewalks and. stated <br />that some regulation should be adopted that would <br />oroh!hit such simns. <br />He also asked. that w,ien licenses for the main - <br />Letter of <br />tenance of filling stations were renewed, that the Board <br />complaint <br />require the licensees not to utilize their places of <br />from <br />business as legalized bulletin boards for the display <br />F.L. The lsoard has already adopted regulations <br />covering overhanging signs but the Zoning La,v and By - <br />Law does not seem to include anything that authorizes <br />them to have jurisdiction over the advertising on a persona <br />premises. <br />The Roard decided to acknowledge receipt of his <br />letter and place:3the same on file. <br />Letter was received from Edward W. Taylor in regard <br />to the removal of pole in front of his house on No. <br />E.W.Taylor <br />Hancock St. air.
