e�yb <br />SELECTMEN'S ?- ETING <br />F� <br />JANUARY 13,1931 <br />T <br />A regular meeting of the Board of Selectmen was <br />held at the Selectmen's Room, Town Office Building_ at 7:30 <br />P.M. Messrs. Burnham, Custance, Trask, Blake and Shannon <br />were present. ;The Supt. of Public Works and the Clerk <br />were also Present. <br />Letter was received from Mr. Kendall of the County <br />Commissioners calling attention to the fact that when <br />appraisals are made of animals test-oyed by dogs, if the <br />Appraisers amount exceeds $20, the Chairman of the Selectmen shall <br />re damage act as one appraiser, the second shall be chosen by. the <br />by dogs. party to whom the dama;e has been done and the third <br />shall be chosen by both of these Parties. <br />Commitment of sewer rental chares for the second <br />Commitment. <br />section of the Town in the amount of 91403.87 was signed by <br />the Board. <br />,Alcohol license for John C. ?helps, Paul Revere <br />Garage, was signed.by the Board, the license expiring <br />April lst, 1931, for the year 1931. <br />First class agents license was granted to Calvin <br />Agents <br />Childs, 409 Mass. Avenue, granting privilege f6r a , <br />License. <br />Ford Agency. <br />Mr. Custance and Mr. Trask presented a rough draft <br />of the Selectmen's Report which they had prepared and <br />Selectmen's <br />read to the meeting. The Boxrd discussed the report <br />Report. <br />and approved it with certain changes. <br />Letter was received from Mr. Wrightington re- <br />garding the letter of the Board relative to the <br />O'Connell <br />O'Connell case. He stated than while he continued <br />case. <br />to have charge of the case, he would take the <br />necessary time and proper preparation to proceed <br />with the case with due regard to its importance. <br />Letter was received from Mrs. E. King, corner <br />of Reed and Ash Streets, in which she stated that she <br />could not izive the names of the persons owning the <br />Dogs. <br />dogs in her neighborhood. <br />The Board replied that if this information could <br />not be furnished that the only thins she could do was <br />to find oat the names of the owners of the dogs and <br />surneor them to Court for maintaining a nuisance. <br />Notice was received from the State Department <br />' <br />of Public Works calling attention to the fact that <br />many stores are selljn�- alcohol without a license and <br />suggested that the Police Dept. check up as to the <br />persons who are selling denatured alcohol without a <br />license. <br />
