e�yb SELECTMEN'S ?- ETING F� JANUARY 13,1931 T A regular meeting of the Board of Selectmen was held at the Selectmen's Room, Town Office Building_ at 7:30 P.M. Messrs. Burnham, Custance, Trask, Blake and Shannon were present. ;The Supt. of Public Works and the Clerk were also Present. Letter was received from Mr. Kendall of the County Commissioners calling attention to the fact that when appraisals are made of animals test-oyed by dogs, if the Appraisers amount exceeds $20, the Chairman of the Selectmen shall re damage act as one appraiser, the second shall be chosen by. the by dogs. party to whom the dama;e has been done and the third shall be chosen by both of these Parties. Commitment of sewer rental chares for the second Commitment. section of the Town in the amount of 91403.87 was signed by the Board. ,Alcohol license for John C. ?helps, Paul Revere Garage, was signed.by the Board, the license expiring April lst, 1931, for the year 1931. First class agents license was granted to Calvin Agents Childs, 409 Mass. Avenue, granting privilege f6r a , License. Ford Agency. Mr. Custance and Mr. Trask presented a rough draft of the Selectmen's Report which they had prepared and Selectmen's read to the meeting. The Boxrd discussed the report Report. and approved it with certain changes. Letter was received from Mr. Wrightington re- garding the letter of the Board relative to the O'Connell O'Connell case. He stated than while he continued case. to have charge of the case, he would take the necessary time and proper preparation to proceed with the case with due regard to its importance. Letter was received from Mrs. E. King, corner of Reed and Ash Streets, in which she stated that she could not izive the names of the persons owning the Dogs. dogs in her neighborhood. The Board replied that if this information could not be furnished that the only thins she could do was to find oat the names of the owners of the dogs and surneor them to Court for maintaining a nuisance. Notice was received from the State Department ' of Public Works calling attention to the fact that many stores are selljn�- alcohol without a license and suggested that the Police Dept. check up as to the persons who are selling denatured alcohol without a license.
