1 1 1 207 SELECTMEN'S MEETING JUNE 24, 1930. A regular meeting of the Board of Selectmen was held at the Selectmen's Room, Town Office Building at 7:30 P.M. Messrs. Hustance, Trask, Shannon and Blake were present. The Supt. of Public Works and the Clerk were also present. Mr. Burnham being out of'town, Mr. T. A. Custance was elected chairman pro -tem. Certificate of the incorporation of the Incorporation,. National Fire Protection Company was signed, insofar National Fire as it relates to the character of William D. Milne, Protection Co. 6 Glen Road. Bids were received on the water loan of 300000 as follows: Harris Forbes 100.56 First National Old Colony Corporation. 100.63 Lexington Trust Company 100.12 Bank of Commerce_ &_ Trust Co. 100.10 Estabrook & Company. 100..08 The bid was awarded to the First National _Old Colony Corporation. The following estimates were received_ on the heating at the Public Works Department building on' Bedford Street as follows: Clyde E. Steeves E. A. Webb & Co. Lexington Plumbing Vernon C. Page Joseph W. Buckley J. E. Barnes Co. R., L. Frost $3760.63 3650.00 & Heating Co.,Inc._3850000 3670000 3924.00 4367.76 4371.00 It was found that Clyde E. Steeves intended to install large heaters which were preferable and after going over the.various bids, the Board voted to award the bid to Clyde E. Steeves at his figure of $3760.63 It was left with Mr. Custance _to.go over the matter with Mr. Steeves. Bids were received on the electrical work on the Public Works Dept. building as follows: Sword Brothers, Arlington, Mass. $750.00 Walter E. Whilton, Lexington, " 1469.51 It was voted to award the bid for electrical work to Sword Brothers, and the matter was.left with Mr: Custance to consult with Sword Brothers relative to the outlets.
