184 <br />Vacations. <br />Milk <br />License. <br />Sewer <br />abatement. <br />Garage <br />permit. <br />State Aid. <br />Billboards. <br />SELECTMEN'S MEETING <br />JUNE 3, 1930. <br />A regular meeting of the Board of Selectmen was <br />held at the Selectmen's Room, Town Office Building <br />at 7:30 P.M. Messrs. Burnham,Custance, Trask, <br />Blake and Shannon were present. The Supt. of <br />Public Works and the Clerk pro -tem were also present. <br />A schedule of vacations of the women clerks was <br />presented and referred to the Chairman. <br />Pasteurization of milk license:, was granted to <br />John A. Sellars, Concord Avenue,, Lexington <br />The Board signed abatement for interest on <br />Hattie M. Page sewer assessment in the amout <br />of $18.85. <br />At 8 P.M. hearing was declared open on the <br />application of Brooks, Skinner Co., Inc., Quincy, <br />for permission to erect a one car garage on <br />premises owned by Margaret F. & Harriet S. Collins, <br />4 Oakland St. <br />No persons appeared in opposition and it was <br />voted to grant a permit. <br />State Aid payroll in the amount of $28. was <br />signed by the Board. <br />Mr. T. A. Custance reported that he had had <br />a conference with Mr. J. E. Dwyer, Inspector of <br />Outdoor Advertising, State House, and he was <br />informed that the State has been in litigation for some <br />time on the subject of billboard, and he felt that <br />until a decision is rendered by the Supreme <br />Court it is not advisable to proceed further <br />in the matter. <br />1 <br />J <br />It was therefore decided to await an application <br />for a renewal of the permit of the John Donnelly & <br />Sons company, and when same is received the Board <br />will ask for a hearing. <br />Letter was received from Mr. F. L. Emery in <br />regard to Travelaide sign on Shell station at the <br />corner of Mass. Avenue and Maple Street in which <br />Travelaide <br />he complained that numerous signs were_e?ected which <br />sign. <br />did not relate to the business. Mr. Emery was <br />present and suggested revising the Building Laws <br />to cover the regulation of these signs. <br />No action wqs taken on the matter. <br />At 8:15 P.M. hearing was declared open on the <br />relocation of Lincoln Street and Marrett Road, <br />Fiver- <br />known as Five Forks.
