REGULAR MEETING, January 22, 1929 X9 11 A regular meeting of the Board of Selectmen was held at the Selectmen's Room, at 7:30 P.M. Akessrs. Burnham, Ballard., Chamberlain, Custance, and Robertson were present." The Clerk and the Supt. of Public Works were also present. Hearing on the application of Pasquale Moretti was declared open at 8 P.M. Mr. Frank Ramacorti, 73 'Fremont Street, Boston appeared as attorney for Mr. Moretti and stated that Mr. Moretti built a house some time ago, and he understood that the section was going to be made into a two family district so that he built his house large eno2gh to take care of two families. e stated that r. .Moretti had a family of ten Moretti child en, and he was now deprived pf the income he hearing - Zoning Law. should receive frothis house. he stated that he had L64.00 a tax bill of to pay for the house, and he felt he should get something out of his invest- ment of $5,000. He also stated that there were several other houses in the vicinity that were being used as two family houses which had been erected before the Zoning Law went into effect, and he did not believe that the use of this house as a two family house would impair the status of the neighborhood. He presented a copy of the petition showing names of owners of property in the vicinity and stated that he had sent a copy of the petition to the Planning Board without the addresses of the parties who signed the petition, with a request that the section be made a two family district. Mr. Benigo Santosuosso, Mr. Samuel MorettiJ1r, Louis C. Campbell, Ir. William C. Bartels, and krs. Mary E. Coghlan .were also present. Messrs. Cpmpbell and Bartels, and Mrs. Coghlan made the statement that they had signed the petition submitted, inasmuch as they were in favor of changing this section into a two family district. They did not feel th qt the present aprolicant should be allowed to disobey the law, but if the district was changed, they would by very glad to see him have a two family house. - The Board made -the statement that they would be willing to take the petition up with the Planning Board to see if some action could be taken in changing this^ ection into a two family district. %e Board, however, did not discuss the matter, and no action was taken on the hearing or on sending the petition tothePlanning Board. Messrs. Stuart and Marshall of the Stuart, Marshall Realty Co., together with their Architect, Stuart- came before the Board in regard to discussing the Marshall matter in relation to making negotiations about the Conference.
