REGULAR MEETING, January 22, 1929 <br />X9 <br />11 <br />A regular meeting of the Board of Selectmen <br />was held at the Selectmen's Room, at 7:30 P.M. <br />Akessrs. Burnham, Ballard., Chamberlain, Custance, <br />and Robertson were present." The Clerk and the <br />Supt. of Public Works were also present. <br />Hearing on the application of Pasquale Moretti was <br />declared open at 8 P.M. <br />Mr. Frank Ramacorti, 73 'Fremont Street, Boston <br />appeared as attorney for Mr. Moretti and stated that <br />Mr. Moretti built a house some time ago, and he <br />understood that the section was going to be made <br />into a two family district so that he built his <br />house large eno2gh to take care of two families. <br />e stated that r. .Moretti had a family of ten <br />Moretti <br />child en, and he was now deprived pf the income he <br />hearing - <br />Zoning Law. <br />should receive frothis house. he stated that he <br />had L64.00 <br />a tax bill of to pay for the house, and <br />he felt he should get something out of his invest- <br />ment of $5,000. He also stated that there were <br />several other houses in the vicinity that were <br />being used as two family houses which had been <br />erected before the Zoning Law went into effect, and <br />he did not believe that the use of this house as <br />a two family house would impair the status of the <br />neighborhood. He presented a copy of the petition <br />showing names of owners of property in the vicinity <br />and stated that he had sent a copy of the petition <br />to the Planning Board without the addresses of <br />the parties who signed the petition, with a <br />request that the section be made a two family district. <br />Mr. Benigo Santosuosso, Mr. Samuel MorettiJ1r, <br />Louis C. Campbell, Ir. William C. Bartels, and krs. <br />Mary E. Coghlan .were also present. <br />Messrs. Cpmpbell and Bartels, and Mrs. Coghlan <br />made the statement that they had signed the petition <br />submitted, inasmuch as they were in favor of <br />changing this section into a two family district. <br />They did not feel th qt the present aprolicant should <br />be allowed to disobey the law, but if the district <br />was changed, they would by very glad to see him <br />have a two family house. - <br />The Board made -the statement that they would be <br />willing to take the petition up with the Planning <br />Board to see if some action could be taken in changing <br />this^ ection into a two family district. <br />%e Board, however, did not discuss the matter, <br />and no action was taken on the hearing or on sending <br />the petition tothePlanning Board. <br />Messrs. Stuart and Marshall of the Stuart, <br />Marshall Realty Co., together with their Architect, <br />Stuart- <br />came before the Board in regard to discussing the <br />Marshall <br />matter in relation to making negotiations about the <br />Conference. <br />Boutelle Block, so-called. <br />X9 <br />11 <br />
