REGULAR MEETING, JANUARY 2, 1929. <br />Letter was received from Mr. Neil McIntosh re- <br />questing that he be given`a hearing some time in <br />January, 1929 so that he may talk with the Board in <br />regard to highway betterment assessments upon his <br />property. <br />It was decided to request Mr. McIntosh to come <br />A regular meeting of the Board of Selectmen was <br />held at the Selectments Office at 7 P.M. Messrs. <br />Burnhnm,('ustance, Chamberlain and Robertson were <br />present. The Sunt, of Public °wor'rs and. the Clerk <br />were also pre.'*ent. <br />The Boar,! met at the Town Office Building and <br />proceeded to the home of Miss Ellen M. Tower at <br />Resolutions. <br />4 Pelham Road where they received from her the deed <br />of the Tower L rk located on Mass. Avenue opposite <br />Miss Ellen <br />her home, and which has been accepted by the Town, <br />M. Tower. <br />together with a check of'$10,000. to be a fund for <br />maintenance of said park. <br />The Bonrd presented to Miss Tower in return <br />for the gift of the land the resolutions adopted by <br />the Town. <br />Senator Joseph R. Cotton came before the Board <br />and presented to them a form of proof of bill to be <br />presented to the Legislature in connection with <br />having a representative form of town government in <br />the Town of Lexington. This form is su.bstsntially <br />Petition <br />similar to the form'ar?opted by the Town of Winchester <br />with some &light changes. <br />Legislature The Bogr,a expressed the feeling that the Chair - <br />re <br />man of tl^e Ce netery Committee shoul,' be included <br />Rep. Town <br />as a Town Meeting Member at Large. <br />Government. <br />The Board signed the petition to have the bill <br />printed anal placed. before the Legislature, inas- <br />much as Mr. Cotton informed them that they would_ <br />have ample opportunity to study the bill and <br />siiggest whztever changes they desire made when <br />the bill .comes up for hearing. <br />Hearing was declared onen Wpon the application <br />of Mr. Louis '�I.
