76 <br />REGULAR. MEETING, MAY 31, 1927. <br />A regular meeting of the Board of Selectmenaas held in the <br />SelectmenTs Office at 7:30 P.M. Messrs. Custance, Burnham, Ballard, <br />Robertson and Chamberlain rrere present. The Supt. of Public Vlorks <br />and the Clerk i:,ere also present. <br />The records of the last meeting were approved. <br />Cart. Damon of Grant Street came before the Board together with <br />his wife to explain in person the conditions outlined in his letter <br />to the Board relative to the spring in his cellar which is flooding <br />the cellar by reason of the fact that it has no outlet. He c1tims <br />that Mr. John Stack S7mds::off the outlet to this spring There it <br />goes through a pipe running through the cellar of a house ow4ed by <br />said Stack. The Board informed Mr. Lamon that the matter was en- <br />tirely up to he and hair. Stack that they had no jurisdiction in the <br />matter. Mr. Damon however stated that he could not afford to <br />procure counsel and Lr. ,Ballard therefor offered personally to have <br />the title reference of the property looked up to see whether there <br />were any drainage rights. <br />Acting Town Engineer, John T. Cosgrove, presented the Board <br />with plan of lay out of ierkins manor as presented to him by the <br />Planning Board. The Board felt that the lay out ?.gar arvery good <br />one and decided to ask the Planning Board to continue with their <br />endeavors to make arrangements with the neighbors for exchange <br />of land to bring about this lay out. <br />Bids were received on the $173,000. temporary loan as follows: <br />Atlantic relational Bank 3.69 <br />First National Bank 3.71 <br />Grafton Company 3,79 <br />Lexington Trust Co. 3.669 <br />The bid was awarded to the Lexington Trust Company. <br />Hearing Inas held at 8:30 P.,uI. on the application of Harry W. <br />Patterson for permission to erect a two car garage on his premises. <br />Mr. Patterson was present for his petition, and no persons objected <br />and it was therefor voted, to grant the permit. <br />Joint pole location was signed by the Board for the Edison <br />Electric Ill. Co, for one pole on Pleasant Street. Also joint <br />pole location for five poles on Old County Road was granted by the <br />Board, hearings having been duly held respectively at 8:35 P.T. <br />and 8:45 P.M. <br />Hearing was held at 8:40 P.M. upon the application of <br />Raymond L. Nickerson for permission to erect a one car garage at <br />43 Forest Street. No persons appeared to object and it was voted <br />to grunt the permit. <br />f% <br />u <br />I <br />
