1 <br />1 <br />1 <br />SPECIAL MRETIRG3 MAY 25, 1927 <br />A special meeting of the Board of Selectmen was held at the <br />Selectmen's Office at 8 P.M. Messrs. Custance, Burnham, Ballards <br />Robertson, and Chamberlain were present. <br />The Board of Survey held a meeting which had been advertised <br />for May 23, 1927 at 8 P.M. in regard to laying out a street off <br />Woburn Street in the vicinity of Cottage Street over land of <br />Bridget Leary. Mr. Dennis Collins, Miss Nora Keary, Mr. Joseph <br />Vaughn, and Mrs. Bridget Leary were present and interested in the <br />lay out of the street. Mr. Frederick L. Emery, Chairman of the <br />Planning Board, was -also present. <br />Mr. Emery reported theM thb PJa;Ln Board had not had <br />sufficient time to study Alae; emir§-. proKsition of laying out the <br />streets in this section, and felt that more time was necessary to <br />study the same. The meeting adjourned at 8:20 P.M. to June 28, 1927 <br />the same being five weeks from the 24th of May the regular meeting <br />night. <br />The Board then considered the matter of appointing a police <br />officer. The elligible list was as follows: <br />George <br />E. Smith <br />8 <br />Independence Road <br />87.28 <br />John W. <br />Rycroft <br />12A <br />Utica Street <br />81.42 <br />Robert <br />A. McAdoo <br />3 <br />Shirley Street <br />88.92 <br />After discussing the matter it was voted to appoint John W. <br />Rycroft, 12A Utica Street as a regular patrolman. <br />Meeting adjourned at 11:45 P.M. <br />A true record, Attest' c� <br />Clerk. <br />
