5 <br />REGULAR 1EETING., April 203. 1927. <br />A regulsr meeting of the Board of Selectmen was held at the <br />Selectments Office at 7:30 P.M. Messrs. Custance, Burnham, Ballard, <br />Robertson, and Chamb,-rlain i.,ere present. The Supt. of Public 1k.rorks <br />and the Clerk were also present. <br />The records were approved. <br />Board of Survey hearing on the application of Robbins & Smith <br />for the approval of _.lay out of Madison Avenue, Lexington Avenue, <br />Smith Avenue, Robbins Road, Toi,.rer Street, Locust Avenue and 6"atson <br />Avenue being adjourned to April 20, 1927 was declared open. <br />Hearing was also declared open by the Board of Survey on their <br />notice to lay out streets over the property of Fred H. Moultpn, <br />Fred C. Earle, Heirs of Richard G. Tower, and George F. Harrington, <br />Mr. George F. Harrington, firs. Grace E. Blake, Fred C. Earle, William <br />Tower, and Miss LeMay were present at the hearing. <br />Letter was received from the Planning Board expressing their <br />approval of the lay out which was presented at the meeting with the <br />suggestion that the lay out would be improved by modifying the line <br />of Summit Road Extension (B) as indicated in dotted red lines. <br />Mr. Earle sta':cd that he felt that the street laid out along his <br />property would not be of a benefit, and that later on betterment <br />taxes would be assessed to him. Mr. Harrington stated that he did <br />not wish to hamper the development of the property, but he did not <br />feel that he wa—. to receive any benefit and felt he should receive <br />pay for his land. He stated that he felt that he hl -;d done his part tai <br />' when Follen Road was constructed thirteen years ago by giving a strip <br />of land fifty feet wide and nine hundred feet long. No other parties <br />seemed to object to the lay out. The he=:ring was declared closed <br />at 9 PX., and the Board took the matter under consideration. <br />The following licenses were granted by the Board. <br />Common Victuallers <br />Caroline A.
