3,26 <br />Custance reported that air. A. B. Tonne- offered the services <br />of a man who systemitizes offices of the Tenney Company to the town <br />to see if anything could be done in regard to establishing a system ' <br />whereby all information needed in each department would be furnished <br />b3, the department having the information, and whereby all orders for <br />work would be in writing where there would be some check as to who is <br />responsible for the work being done. The Board expressed the opinion <br />that they were in favor of a system being established, and were glad <br />to have r. Custance look into the matter further to see what could <br />be worked out. <br />Letter was received from the Town Counsel in which he enclosed <br />copy of letter of the Building Inspector to him relative to the so- <br />called Weatherby building on Carville Avenue upon which a hearing has <br />been held. The Town Counsel's letter informed the Board as to the <br />procedure they would have to take to prosecute the case. <br />It was decided not to take any action on the matter, but to let <br />it stand i# the hands of the Bast Lexington Civic Association and <br />17r. 1eatherby, who were to get together and work out something satis- <br />factory to both parties. <br />Invitation was received from the City of '*,foburn requesting the <br />SelectTqen to be present at the Dedication of the Veterans' Memorial <br />on Juhe 6th at 2 o'clock. The Board acknowledged receipt of the in- <br />vitation, and stated that at least .one member of the Board would be <br />present. <br />Invitation was received from the Hudson Board of Selectmen re-' <br />questing the Board to join with them in forming; Selectmen's Associa- <br />' <br />a <br />tion, the meeting for <br />the purpose being held at the Town Hall, <br />Concord, <br />on June 2nd, at 10 A. <br />IV. The Board acknowledged receipt of the <br />invi- <br />tation, but informed <br />them that none of the Board would be able <br />to be <br />present. <br />An application for the office of Wire Inspector was received from <br />R. W. Hamilton. No action was taken on the matter. <br />It was voted to appoint Louis`4.. Bills of 73 Hancock; Street as <br />Inspector of Mires, for the town. Said appointment to begin June 1st.. <br />1926. <br />'lotice having been received of the result of the examination in <br />the schools of children under weight and it having been found that nine <br />children were tuberculor suspects, it was decided that these cld ldren <br />needed supervision. The Public Health Association requested that at <br />least five of the children be sent to the Sharon Camp for eight weeks. <br />The cost of board for the children would be $10.00 per week. It was <br />left to the clerk to ascertain whether or not these children should be <br />sent as the funds would have to come out of the 3oard of Health appro- <br />priation. <br />In regard to the appointment of a third fire engineer Mr. Robertson <br />suggested the name of Edward Buttrick who was formerly a captain in the ' <br />Fire Department. 2r. Robertson wa,s requested to suggest this name to <br />the Chief of the department. <br />The.Board voted to install street lights on highland Avenue and <br />requested the Superintendent to arrange for the installation. <br />
