The following members of the Board were
present:Messrs: J. Chester Hutchinson, Theodore A. Custance,
Albert H.Burnham, Fred H. Moulton and Charles H. Miles.
Application for a gasoline filling station to be located
on Mass. Avenue near the corner of Fottler Avenue was received
from Salvado Caterino of 12 Prescott St,, Arlington. As the
Board considered the application and decided not to;grant same
it was voted not to hold a hearing on same.
Letter was received from the Planning Board advising the
widening tf Bow Street in East Lexington.. The Board replied
that they were already to set a hearing on same on August 11,
1925.
Letter was received from the Minute -man of Arlington,Mass.
with reference to printing of Lexington advertising for the town
in the Minute -man.
The Board replied that the appropriation for printing would
not allow the printing in duplicate of the advertising for the '
town and as they were advised by legal authority, that the only
paper they could legally publish in would be the Lexington Times,
there was nothing further they could do about the matter.
The Board again considered the application of Ida H. V.
Capper for a filling station at the corner of Middle and Waltham
Streets, and voted not to grant permission for the erection of
same.
Letter was received from George W. Taylor in which he
enclosed copy of records of 140th Anniversary of the Battle of
Lexington so that a record of the same could be made on the
records of the town. The Board decided to place same in the
Town Report.
Reply was made to the letter of the Board of Trade in
regard to the injustice to Gustav Bunzel having to pay $200
for his slaughter license while Amos Holman paid $100. The
Board felt that Mr. Bunzel had been satisfied with the charge
made as he made no indication otherwise and as the charge was
already made for the year, it was decided to have a schedule,
which the Supt. of Public Works could work out before April $0th
when the licenses expire.
A true record, Attest;
Clerk.
