I <br />' <br />MEETIA;G. JULY 8. 1924. <br />A regular meeting of the Board of Selectmen was held in <br />the Selectmen's Room, Town hall, Lexington, on Tuesday, July 8, <br />1924, at 8 P. k. The following members of the Board were prevent: <br />namely Messrs. Durnham, hutchinson, Custance and Miles. The <br />Aee't Town Olerk was also present. <br />Hearing upon the application of A. W. Fredson of 44 Oak <br />Street for permission to erect a private garage on hie premiren <br />was declared open. <br />No persons appeared to object and it was therefor voted <br />to grant the petition, <br />hearing was declared open upon petition of S. Berman <br />of 32 Sylvia St. for permission to erect a private garage on his <br />premises. <br />No persons appeared to object and it was therefor voted <br />to grant the petition, <br />The Board signed a dog warrant directed to James Irvin, <br />Dog Officer, for the collection of all unlicensed dogs. <br />' <br />Notice was received from the Sepretary of the State <br />relative to the incorporation of the Mohawk Country Club, and <br />asking that the Board give recommendations as required by <br />Chapter 180 of the General Laws. <br />The Board sent to the Secretary the ihf'ormation collected <br />from the police departments of the town in which the petitioners <br />lived and said information was forwarded is the report from the <br />Selectmen. <br />The Resignation of Edward C. Stone as Town Counsel was <br />received, the came to take effedt immediately. <br />The Board exceedingly regretted receiving this resignation. <br />Mr. Stone explained that the duties of Town Counsel were taking <br />too much of his time from his regular duties and that although <br />he was willing to serve the Board by attending the meetings <br />evenings, he could not attend to all the work which he was called <br />upon to do. <br />The Board accepted kr. Stone's reRignation with much <br />regret as the service he rendered to the Board and the town was <br />invaluable. <br />Letter was received from Frederick L. Emery stating that <br />he was glad to khew that the Planning Board's recommendation in <br />regard to the Griswold lay out on Park Heights was carried out by <br />the Board of Selectmen. <br />
