1 <br />u <br />1 <br />MEETING, MAY 60 1924. <br />A regular meeting of the Board of Selectmen was held in the <br />Selectmen's Room, Town Hall, Lexington, on Tuesday, May 6, 19240 at <br />8 P. M. The following members of the Board were present; namely, <br />Messrs, Burnham, Moulton, Custance and Miles, and the Aselt Town Clerk. <br />Frederick Lundergan of 9 Sylvia St., came before the Board as a. <br />result of the hearing which was scheduled for May 6, at 8 P. M. <br />Mr. Lundergan desired to build a two family house on aylvis St., <br />but the Zoning Laws do not allow a two flat house in this district. <br />Letter was received from the Planning Board in which they explained <br />that they believed the Selectmen could not give a permit for a two <br />family house even after a hePring. Upon investigation of the Zoning <br />Law it was found that this is so, and Mr. Lundergan was therefore in- <br />formed that the Board could not grant him a permit. <br />The Board signed a statement of abatement of bills as follows: <br />the bills being for csre in contagious cases end being uncollectible. <br />Harvey E. Scam:nan was <br />approved by the Board. <br />The Board signed the transfer of the Paul Revere Garage License <br />to Leo J. Breau of Cambridge, <br />Peddler's License for Edward Collins was signed by the Board. <br />Public Carriage License for A. A. Marshall & Son, was signed by <br />the Board, subject to the filing of a satisfactory bond. <br />Letter was received from the Planning Board in regard to the hear- <br />ing on applicPti on of Wesley T. w?dmen to make over the rouse at <br />23 i-ancock street, into a four apartment house. The Planning Board <br />believed that all the land owners in the vicinity should be consulted <br />in regard to the future lay out of streets over their premises, and <br />that the Planning Board. came to an agreement in regard to the lay out <br />they believed should be made on the Blake property and the surrounding <br />property. <br />After some little discussion about the project, Mr. Wridrlar_ etatcd <br />that he withdrew his application for a permit to make a four apartment <br />house out of the two apartment house at 23 Hancock Street, and did not <br />know just what his plans would be for the development of the land. <br />Mr. Blake, present owner, agreed that the main street proposed on the <br />plan of the Town Engineer was agreeable to him and that this street <br />could probably be staked out. <br />The Board allowed Mr. Wadman permission to withdraw his application. <br />
