AC".Y 15, 1.24•. <br />n regular meeting of the Bo%Lrd of Selectmen was held in <br />the Selectmen's Room, Town Hall, lexington, on Tuesday, Jan. 15, <br />1924, at 5:00 P. y. The following members of the Board <br />present; namely: Iv'esere. Scamman.11lake, Hutchinson, Burnham <br />and Doulton; the Town clerk and the Asst gown clerk were also <br />present. <br />Attorney Thomas F. Sullivan came before the Board with <br />his client, Joseph Trani, on the appeal of said Trani from the <br />decis_on of the Building Inspector. <br />The 3uilding Inspector weld up the permit applied for by <br />Trani so that the ordin.nce of the Planning Board would be <br />accepted ay the Town and 4�Lr. Trani would then have to place <br />hie building twenty feet back from the street line. <br />Kr. badman stated that the plane and specifications pre- <br />eented by h'Lr. Trani to consult with the Planning <br />Board and see if they could come to some agreement. u;r. Trani <br />said he was willing to set the stores back ten feet but if the <br />Zoning ordinance went through others would not be compelled <br />to place their buildings back twenty feet but his would already <br />have been placed back and he would not ,yet the trade. He agreed, <br />however, to talk ,°:ith the Planning Board on 74riday ev,.ning next <br />ani said he crould -do what wa.s right in the patter. <br />Petition for street lights on concord Avenue from the <br />junction of Pleasant St. and Concord Avemae to the 3elmont Line <br />was received and turned over to the Supt. of Public Works. <br />Request was made by the Planning Board that the Board call <br />a Torn Meeting on February 11th so that the matter of zoning <br />may be acted upon. No date was set as the Planning Board were <br />again to confer with the Board. <br />Insurance policies ordered through various agents for <br />renewals were approved by the Board. <br />T etter was written to Frederick L. Lmery in which the Board <br />informed that a sign was to be placed at the corner of Lowell <br />and Liaple Streets directing traffic and will ta're the place of <br />the wooden sign that he objected to. <br />Request for an, increase i:: pay was received from Albert <br />ROeV, Supt. of Streets, :eater i sei%rer.
