1923 - <br />MEETING, drli:L'tikY 2, 1923. <br />All members Present. <br />1r. Harrison reported that he had received letter from <br />the estate in which they informed him that they would not contri- <br />bute toward the cost of cide-;alk work on Maple and Lowell Sts. <br />1.r. r arri on read a letter which he had written to the <br />Edison Co. ordering a street light placed on Hancock Street <br />near the junction of _Elm Avenue. <br />Ur. Harrison recommended that the Police Department regu- <br />latione that xr. Laguire, Acting; Chief formerly presented to the <br />Board and which were turned over to Mir. harrieon, be accepted. <br />The Board laid the matter on the table for one week. <br />Ur. Harrison read a letter from the General Fireproofing <br />Oo. of 125 federal St, Bocton, in wl-dch•they gave a figure of <br />$371.25 for grill work to be placed in front of the Toy"+n Treas- <br />urer's desk. <br />tie also read a letter from The Hub Aire Cloth and -Wire <br />Work Co. of 16-18 Canal ut, Bocton, in whic'`. they gave a figure <br />of $120.00 for grill work with'an additional charge of $6 for <br />a inch glass instead of a sheet steel ,shelf. <br />The board instructed i,�r.farrison to award the bid to the <br />Hub 'v ire Cloth and -Dire -4ork Co. <br />lir. Harrison brought the subject of changes in the Board <br />of Health Regulations up and suggested if agreeable that he and <br />Dr. Barnes could go over same and make the neceeeary changes. <br />It was voted that the Bourd of i,eal th regulations be <br />accepted as changed byr Dr. 'Wm. L. Barnes and ir. Earrieon. <br />`uIr. Harrison presented to r. Blake aide for new Locker <br />Building on the Parker r'ield. <br />No decision war made ae to building to be chosen. <br />-r. Osborne � Gorman was appointed Forest:garden and also <br />Loth Superintendeiat:for the year 1923, the same to be subject to <br />tl�e approval of the btate uepartment of Conservation, <br />r. harrieon called attention to the fact that a _'ew <br />Tel. Tel. Oo. pole the sa fe 'being the third pole from dialtham St. <br />on LU ddle Street is. so rotted at the base that the pole iG hanging <br />on the overhead rirec. <br />.,ir. Harrison was requested to write the State Department of <br />Public uorkc inasmuch as iLiddle Street is a State road and ask <br />thAt they give their attention to the matter. <br />"r.
