MEETING. JULY 5, 1922. ' <br />All Members Present. <br />Letter was received from the Lexington Building Trust ask- <br />ing that the Board urge the County to establish the lines of <br />Burlington, Grove and North Hancock Streete, at the hearing on <br />July 7th. <br />The Board acknowledged receipt of the letter and informed <br />Mr. Burgess, Trustee, that they were willing to cooperate. <br />Edward y'i. Taylor, Chief of the Fire Department, came before <br />the Board and explained that he inspected the building at 119 Masa. <br />Ave. with regard to fire laws and had ordered the building put in <br />shape as far as fire protection went. He stated that although he <br />had nothing to do with the building, he considered it unsafe as it <br />existed. He also stated that he would return to the building again <br />for another inspection to see if his orders were complied with. <br />Mr. James Fullerton came before the Board and the Board <br />approved his application for a peddler's license. <br />Letter was received from the State Department of Public -Works <br />in which they informed the Board that they did not care to estab- <br />lish a precedent by contributing one third of the cost of land <br />damage for the taking of land at the junction of Maple St. and <br />Mass. Ave. <br />The written opinion of the Town Counsel offering his resig- <br />nation to take effect as soon as the by-law entitled "Legal Affairs, <br />Suits and Town Counsel" was approved by the Attorney General, if <br />the same was approved. <br />Letter was received from Supt. of Streets giving his investi- <br />gation of the drainage conditions on Reed St. He stated that the <br />remedy for drainage conditions in the street would cost about $350. <br />Michael Kelley was granted a license to be a guide. <br />The dog warrant for the collection of unpaid dog licenses was <br />signed by the Chairman. <br />Mr. Fred Lundergan of 9 Sylvia Street, came before the Board <br />and as he was late to the hearing previously given for him he re- <br />quested that he be giveAlanother hearing on his proposed community <br />garage. <br />The Board voted to give him another hearing on July 25th at <br />8P.Y. <br />Mr. Robert Hamilton came <br />a permit to carry a revolver. <br />plaint against him made by his <br />did not grant him a permit. <br />Mr. Scamman informed him <br />the Chief of Police. <br />before the Board relative to securing ' <br />He stated that the Chief had a com- <br />father-in-law and for that reason <br />that he would take the matter up with <br />
