N <br />MEETING, JUNE 69 1922. <br />All Members Present. <br />The records of the lash meeting were read and approved. <br />Mr. 0. D. Tuttle of Bedford 5t. came before the Board to <br />complain about the Sunday Sales License which was granted to <br />'Willard P. Reade. Nothing was done about the matter as Mr. <br />Tuttle's version was that a building permit was granted for <br />business and his deed prohibited anything of that sort. <br />The Edison Oo. were granted permission to remove and set <br />one pole on Lowell St. approximately 1845 feet north of Reed <br />St. <br />Mr. Cotton called attention to billboards on the railroad <br />property and stated that he would take the matter up with the <br />Railroad Company. <br />Mr. Tenney called attention to the fact that the whistle on <br />the freight trains both early in the morning and late at night <br />has caused annoyance to some of the residents of the TowTn. <br />A letter was directed written to the Boston & Maine RR. <br />calling attention to that fact. <br />Letter was received from J • Willard Hayden, calling atten- <br />tion to the condition of Shade & Weston Ste, that brush was <br />left on the walls and has not been cleaned up, and that Shade <br />Street needs the steam roller run over it a few times. <br />letter was received from the State Department of Public <br />'Yorke in which they inform the Bourd twat they would contribute <br />$22,500 toward the rebuilding of Lowell and Maple Streets, pro- <br />vided the County contributed $22,500 and the Town $25,000. <br />Letter was received from George D. Harrington, Town Treas- <br />urer, requesting retirement under Chapter 447 of the Acts of <br />1912. <br />The Board acknowledged receipt of same, but took no action. <br />License was granted to Mrs. Ida H. B. Capper of Middle St. <br />to sell ice cream,'confectionery, soda water and fruit on the <br />Lord's Day. <br />Application for a license to peddle was received from <br />Peter Paul Callahan of 316 Maes. Avenue. <br />He was requested to come before the meeting next Tuesday. <br />' Petition was received from John Kckay of 12 Fletcher Ave, <br />and others in which they ask that if Fletcher Ave. automatically <br />becomes.a public highway by common usage that it be put in con- <br />dition as a public highway, or if not that the Board take the <br />proper steps to make same a public highway. <br />Nothing was done en the matter. <br />
