78 <br />MEETIPdG. MARCH 14. 1922, <br />II <br />All Members Present. <br />The records of the last meeting were read and approved. <br />The recount of votes dor Selectman having been held on <br />the 10th instant and it having been found that the count was <br />correct and Mr. Albert H. Burnham was the duly elected Selectman. <br />It was voted that the temporary organization made at the <br />last meeting be carried on until further action is taken on same. <br />Leonard Jellis appeared before the Board to complain about <br />the condition of Ward St. He stated that it should be put in <br />better condition and a gravel sidewalk made as at the present <br />time there is only room for one car to paes through at a time. <br />Mr. Jellis also called attention to the condition of <br />Mr. Frank Canisius' place on ►'hard St. Mr. Canisius collects <br />garbage and dumps the same in his yard thereby causing a nuisance. <br />Mr. Jellis was requested to put his complaint in writing <br />so that the Board may act on the same. <br />Mr. George D. Harrington, Town Treasurer, came before the ' <br />Board in reference to borrowing money under the vote of the <br />town. He was authorized to borrow $150,000 at the rate of <br />4.31, and was given an authorization to have the notes delivered <br />to Estabrook & Co. <br />Mr. William Aquaro presented two articles one asking for <br />electric lights and the other for snow plows on Albermale, <br />Rindge and Arcadia revenues. <br />He also called attention to the fact that the citizens in <br />that section requested a grade so that the streets could be <br />put in condition for acceptance but they have not had the services <br />of the Engineer as yet. <br />Mr. Scamman informed him that the matter would be talked <br />over at a later date. <br />The Board signed the application of Circiaco Cataldo of <br />Rawson Avenue fdr a license to peddle fruit, vegetables and <br />candy in Lexington. <br />Calvin We Childs came before the Board to register his <br />objection to a gasoline license being granted to Mr. Aneelm <br />Mullen of 53 Mae&, Avenue, <br />The Board considered Mr. Mullen's application again and <br />decided to ask him to appear before the Board next Tuesday I <br />evening at 7:45 P. M. <br />
