Peirce, one of the Trustees of Public Trusts, <br />came before the Board to discuss matters pertaining to public <br />trusts. <br />The Trustees agreed to co-operate with the Overseers of <br />the Poor in every way possible. <br />Mr. Edward P. Merriam, Secy of the School Committee, came <br />before the Board to discuss the matter of liability insurance <br />on the school barges. He stated that the School Committee had <br />received the opinion of the Town Counsel and that he advised <br />employing only contractors who carried liability insurance. At <br />the present time the town carries liability on the barges and <br />the question arose as to whether or not if any accident happened <br />it would be an easier matter for the town to settle the case if <br />the contractor carried the insurance rather than the town. <br />After discussing the matter together with ter. C. Hill ' <br />of Elmer A. Lord & Co. the Board told hir.Merriam that in its <br />opinion the present way of carrying the insurance was the best, <br />and also suggested that the School Committee insure the horse <br />drawn barges as well as the automobiles. <br />Mr. Richards agreed to call upon Mr. and Mire. Eaton to get <br />their signatures on the agreement relative to the renting of <br />the Town Farm property. <br />The application of Doria Reeves for a Second Hand motor <br />vehicle license was laid over for one week. <br />Notice was received from the State Forester that the amount <br />required by law to expend on the Moth Department is $4105.52. <br />It was voted to grant the use of the Town Hall to the <br />Aiinute-men, the Xmerican Legion and Drum Corps free of charge <br />for a military ball to be held on Feb. 24, 1922 for the benefit <br />of the Buckman Tavern Community Association. <br />It was voted to instruct Elmer A. Lord & Co. to place <br />liability insurance on all the buildings on the Almshouee pro- <br />perty to the amount of $10,000, <br />A statement bf certificate of reasons for receiving Stade <br />Aid was signed for Thomas G.
