E I YEETIZ G, JAR. 3, 1922. All Members Present, The Records of the last meeting; were read and approved. Osborne J. Gorman was appointed Local Superintendent of the Both Department, also Forest warden, both appointments being subject to the approval of the State Forester. The Board voted to grant an --Lgent'e License, Class I to Calvin W. Childs, of 99 Mass. Ave, Letter was received from Lir. Alexander G. Strong of 5091 Townsend St. Syracuse, New York, in which he re+guested the installation of water mains in Loreland Avenue, off 'ern St. The Board informed him that inasmuch as there was a vote of the town prohibiting the installation of water mains or any public utilities at the expense of the town, in private ways the Board could not do any thing for him. Homer Thurlow nelson of 46 Parker St, to whom a public carriage license was granted to on Prov. 30, 1921, not having filed a bond, the Board voted to cancel said license. Letter was written to the `free v+arden in which he was requested to continue the work of trimming trees destroyed by the recent storm. He was also vrequested to reduce the rate per day paid to the men on.is department so that the same veould conform with the rate paid the employees of the Hoth Dept. namely, $4.50 for foreman and $4.25 for climbers. Letter was written to the Park Commiesioners requesting permission from that department in writing for the use of the pumping station building and land with the exception of the nursery. Receipt was received from the Lexington Historical Society for the following: 1. Acts of Congress, beginning let session of the 6th Congress in 1799 and up to the 29th session of Congress not complete. 2. Commonwealth of Lass. Acts and Resolves from 1784 to 1827 not complete. ' 3. 9 pamphlets of Pauper Laws 1833 to 1849. 4. Some odd volumes of U. S. laws, Reports of Mass..Legie- lature, Re orts of Congressional Committees, etc. 1806 - 1841.
