E <br />I <br />YEETIZ G, JAR. 3, 1922. <br />All Members Present, <br />The Records of the last meeting; were read and approved. <br />Osborne J. Gorman was appointed Local Superintendent of the <br />Both Department, also Forest warden, both appointments being <br />subject to the approval of the State Forester. <br />The Board voted to grant an --Lgent'e License, Class I to <br />Calvin W. Childs, of 99 Mass. Ave, <br />Letter was received from Lir. Alexander G. Strong of <br />5091 Townsend St. Syracuse, New York, in which he re+guested the <br />installation of water mains in Loreland Avenue, off 'ern St. <br />The Board informed him that inasmuch as there was a vote <br />of the town prohibiting the installation of water mains or any <br />public utilities at the expense of the town, in private ways <br />the Board could not do any thing for him. <br />Homer Thurlow nelson of 46 Parker St, to whom a public <br />carriage license was granted to on Prov. 30, 1921, not having <br />filed a bond, the Board voted to cancel said license. <br />Letter was written to the `free v+arden in which he was <br />requested to continue the work of trimming trees destroyed by <br />the recent storm. He was also vrequested to reduce the rate <br />per day paid to the men on.is department so that the same <br />veould conform with the rate paid the employees of the Hoth Dept. <br />namely, $4.50 for foreman and $4.25 for climbers. <br />Letter was written to the Park Commiesioners requesting <br />permission from that department in writing for the use of the <br />pumping station building and land with the exception of the <br />nursery. <br />Receipt was received from the Lexington Historical <br />Society for the following: <br />1. Acts of Congress, beginning let session of the 6th <br />Congress in 1799 and up to the 29th session of Congress not <br />complete. <br />2. Commonwealth of Lass. Acts and Resolves from 1784 to <br />1827 not complete. <br />' 3. 9 pamphlets of Pauper Laws 1833 to 1849. <br />4. Some odd volumes of U. S. laws, Reports of Mass..Legie- <br />lature, Re orts of Congressional Committees, etc. 1806 - 1841. <br />
