50 <br /> <br />MEETING, NOV. 299 1921. <br />All Members Present. <br />The records of the last meeting were read and approved. <br />Letter was received from the Lexington Gas Co. in which <br />they thanked the Board for the interest taken concerning the <br />number of customers on Bedford Sto and stating that they would <br />appreciate any effort which the Board might make to increase <br />the number. <br />Letter was also received from the Lexington Gas Co. in <br />which they thanked the Board for giving them permission to <br />make an extension of gas piping in the basement of the Town Hall. <br />It was voted to grant Homer T. Nelson of 46 Parker Street <br />a public carriage license upon receipt of a satisfactory bond. <br />Letter was received from Custance Bros, requesting that <br />the elec-tric light pole near jhirley Street be removed to the <br />corner of Shirley and Bedford Ste as the wires now cross the I property where they are building a hdDuse. <br />The Board directed the Clerk to write the Edison Co. <br />requesting them to make this change. <br />Notice was received from the Dept. of Public Works, <br />Division of Hip waye of an application for an advertising sign <br />to be located 22miles from Waltham on property of Alfred Short. <br />Waltham St. <br />Return of the State Aid for the month of November was <br />signed by the Board. <br />The Board drew a Warrant for a town meeting to be held <br />Dec. 9. 1921. <br />Letter was received from Harry good complaining of the <br />condition of Lowell St. from Woburn St. to the Burlington line. <br />The Chairman replied to the letter informing tlr. vfood <br />that inasmuch as he traveled over this road from two to four <br />times daily.that he should drive carefully enough to avoid any <br />damage to his car and that he should be well aware of Ithe poor <br />condition of this street. He informed him that the Town did <br />not assume any responsibility in the matter. <br />A true record, Attest: ' <br />CLERK. <br />
