' <br />All Members Present. <br />The records of the last meeting were read and approved. <br />The Finance Committee met with the Board of Selectmen to <br />discuss matters relative to extra funds for the Highway Depart- <br />ment. <br />Residents of Lincoln St, Audubon Road and Hastings Road <br />came before the Board in regard to drainage in their vicinity. <br />The following persons were present: Jilliam Ii. Ballard, <br />Harry 'vi. Patterson, `s'illiam h. Hannam, freeman C. Doe, <br />Hubert C. Grieves, Charles H. Rudd, Mrs. A. H. Simonds and <br />Ylise Hina Simonds. <br />Their complaint was that they had water in their cell -are as <br />a result of the bad drainage sy-tem in that section. They <br />informed the Board that the matter had already been discussed <br />with the water and sever department. <br />hir. Richards informed the above named that he T,;ould take , <br />the matter up with the Town Engineer. <br />I+ir. Scamman reported that a complaint 'vq�e made against <br />Doria Reeves in an auto transaction. <br />A letter was ,xitten to I r. Reeves requesting that he be <br />present at the next meeting of the Board so that they could <br />hear hie side of the story. <br />A request was received from the Salvation Army for the <br />privilege of holding a meeting on Sunday, October 23, 1:;21 <br />in Lexington. <br />Hr. Richards agreed to select a location where the meet- <br />ing could be held. <br />Mr. Richards reported that he had investigated the system <br />of keeping; records of the iosar. of Arlington Police Department. <br />He found that they had a complete system which included a <br />Daily Arrest Report, T,rhich ,,Tas later posted in an Arrest Ledger <br />Police Blotters; Complete report of all accidents kept by <br />Chief in addition to Blotters; Book for Vacant FIouees; Sheets <br />for Stolen Autos; Roll Call Sheet. <br />The bond of Joseph L. Zuretti for a public carriage license <br />was approved by the Board, and a license granted to him. <br />A release was received from Edgar A. Fernald for damages ' <br />to his property on Woburn Street according; to the decree of <br />the County Commissioners dated I -:arch 26, 1913. Damages amounted <br />to $12 in this case. <br />
