28 J� <br />C/) <br />YEETING, OCTOBER 4, 1921. <br />All Members Present. <br />The records of the last meeting were read and approved. <br />Mr. Harold C. Cady who has recently been placed upon <br />the permanent roll of the Police Department and who still <br />more recently has been removed upon finding that he neglected <br />his duty, came before the Board and requested that he be <br />given another trial. <br />He stated that he did not consider that his violation <br />of duty was any worse than that of other members of the <br />department. <br />The Board agreed to take the matter up with the Chief <br />of Police and see what he thought about giving Cady another <br />chance. <br />Two -lettere from James P. ;Munroe to Lriss Lora Leary <br />together with blue print showing the area through which the <br />right of way was in question, mere sent to the Town Counsel. <br />This is in connection with determining whether or not the ' <br />right of way can be closed up. <br />In connection with the store being built by Thomas H. <br />Breslin on his land at 637 Mass. Avenue, several letters <br />were received protesting against the erection of said build- <br />ing on the ground that it was not in accordance with the <br />building laws. Two hearings were held on Sept: 30 and <br />Oct. 1. None of the objectors were present. Accordingly <br />hr. Breslin was granted a perr,.it to build a store accord- <br />ing to the building laws by the Buildir+,­; Inspector. All <br />protestors were notified to that effect. <br />The Road Commissioners and the Special Highway Com- <br />mittee were to meet on Oct. 6 at 3 o'clock to view the <br />highways. <br />Complaint was received from Henry S. Raymond of <br />Clarke Street, relative to the boys playing on the school <br />grounds after school hours. His letter was turned over <br />to the School Committee. <br />A public carriage license was granted to Arthur A. <br />Marshall a Son, and also to Ralph H. 'La.rshall and <br />Carroll B. Wetherbee to operate public carriages in this <br />town. ' <br />
