24 <br />Mr,ETIP3G, SEPT. 20, 1921. <br />All Members Present. <br />The records of the Last meeting were read and approved. <br />A hearing was declared open on petition of the New England <br />Telephone & Telegraph Co. and Edison Electric Ill. Co of <br />Boston for a joint or identical location for poles on <br />Hancock Street at Revere Street, setting three poles and <br />removing two. <br />No persons appeared to object and it was therefor voted <br />to grant the petition. <br />The Board also voted to grant the petition of the Edison <br />Electric Ill., Co to attach its wires and fixtures to the <br />&yid lesex & Boston St. Rwy Co. pole on Mass. Avenue opposite <br />(64/27 . <br />The Board.voted to grant the petition of the Edison <br />Electric Illuminating Co. to attach its wires an c fixtures to ' <br />pole on Bedford Street opposite telephone pole 6N . <br />The Board ordered the Tree Warden to take down a large <br />elm tree situated near the junction of Grove and Burlington <br />Streets near the residence of 1:r. Bruce, immediately as it <br />was in a very dangerous condition. <br />Mr. Railsback, President of the New England Road Machinery <br />Co. came before the Board with reference to the letter sent <br />his Company by the Board last week in regard to payment <br />for the clutch recently installed at the Stone Crusher. <br />Mr. Railsback explained that inasmuch as no contract was <br />entered into for the furnishing of the Town with a new stone <br />crusher and inasmuch as the parts of the Stone Crusher were <br />bought separately he did not consider his company responsible <br />for the cost of the clutch, which it was found was needed to <br />put the stone crusher in operation. <br />In this connection the matter of moving the stone crusher <br />before Apr. 1, 1922 was discussed. Mr. Raileback stated that <br />he would be glad to help out in any way possible to sell or. <br />exchange the motor, if the Board desired to do so. <br />Letter was received from Mr. E. P. Merriam requesting <br />the amount of insurance placed on the school boilers. <br />The Clerk was directed to reply to the same. ' <br />It was reported that a manhole on Sherman St, needed <br />some gravel placed around the same. This matter was turned <br />over to Mr. Duffy to attend to. <br />
