14 <br />v <br />MEETING, AUG. 23, 1921. <br />All Members Present. <br />The records of the last meeting were read and approved. <br />Amos Holman of Hill Avenue came before the Board in <br />regard to the fee charged for slaughtering. Mr. Holman <br />stated that most of the pigs he slaughtered were small pigs <br />and that he was paying his fee based upon these small pigs <br />while other slaughters were paying a fee based upon large <br />pigs, which netted them large profits. <br />The Board considered the matter and decided to amend <br />the regulation under which they charged a fee so that 10% <br />of the sucking pigs would be counted as one swine. <br />It was decided to notify the Slaughter inspectors to <br />divide their reports so that the same may be figured in this <br />manner. <br />Mr. C. Ca;terino came before the Board with reference to <br />securing an electric light on School Street. <br />The Board informed him that they would look over the <br />situation. ' <br />Mr. Richards reported that Mr. Snow requested an electric <br />light at Camille Place leading off Bedford St. <br />The petition of the Edison Electric Ill. Co. for a <br />location for one pole on 'llashington Street was granted. <br />A public carriage license was granted to Francis H. <br />Ready provided he filed the bond required. <br />Letter was received from C. F. Holt of Oakland Street <br />complaining about the condition of the gutter along his <br />driveway on Stetson Street. The matter was referred to the <br />Supt. of Streets for his attention. <br />M.r. Henry Simonds complained of the condition of Wash- <br />ington Street. This was also turned over to the Supt. of <br />Streets. <br />A set of Rules and Regulations controling the erection <br />of bill boards were received by the Board. Also list of <br />bill boards now existing which should have permits if they <br />desire to continue the same. The Board decided to view <br />these bill boards on Friday, Aug. 26, and make report to <br />the State Dept. of Public Works. I <br />
