<br />COMMUNITY PRESERVATION COMMITTEE <br />Board of Selectmen Meeting Room <br />Monday, March 24, 2008 <br />4:00 p.m. <br /> <br />Present: <br /> Chair, Betsey Weiss, Joel Adler, Norman Cohen, Marilyn Fenollosa, Wendy <br />Manz, Leo McSweeney, Richard Pagett, Judy Pearson, Sandy Shaw, Dick Wolk. David <br />Kanter, CEC Liaison was also present. <br /> <br />The meeting was called to order by Chair, Betsey Weiss at 4:10 p.m. <br /> <br />1. CPC Report – final edits and comments <br />a. Judy will edit Parker Manor summary with wording agreed upon by CPC. <br />b. Administrative expense information is okay as is. <br />2. Minority Responses – language for minority responses was reviewed and it was <br />agreed, should minority responses be needed at TM, responses will be provided as <br />follows: <br />a. Parker Manor Condo Purchases – Richard <br />b. School Administration Building/Old Harrington – Marilyn <br />c. East Lexington Fire Station – Wendy <br />d. TOB Use Study & Renovation – Marilyn <br />e. Munroe School Fire Prevention System Replacement – Richard (Joel and <br />Richard will collaborate) <br />3. Parker Manor Condo Purchases – Dawn McKenna explained why she will <br />propose a motion for indefinite postponement of Parker Manor Condo purchases. <br />Discussion followed. <br />4. Survey and Define Affordable Housing Assistance Program – the CPC reviewed <br />the Appropriation Committee’s report on why they voted against this project. <br />5. Munroe School Fire Prevention System Replacement – there was a discussion to <br />postpone this article until after Article 48. In that case, it would be: <br />Article 48 Munroe School Disposition <br />Article 9 (q) Munroe <br />Article 19 (j) Appropriate for Public Facilities Capital Projects – Munroe <br />6. Other – Dick Wolk shared that two oral agreements on land have been reached. <br />He stated, however, that nothing of this matter is public information until Letters <br />of Intent are written. Dick did not identify the two land parcels or share anything <br />more at this time. It was agreed, however, that the CPC will have it’s next <br />meeting on 4/3/08, if needed.
