Community Preservation Committee Minutes Board of Selectmen’s Meeting Room Wed. Feb. 20, 2008 4:00pm Present: Betsey Weiss, Marilyn Fenollosa, Norman Cohen, Sandy Shaw, Wendy Manz, Leo McSweeny, Richard Pagett, Dick Wolk, and David Kanter (CEC liaison) was present. Absent: Joel Adler. The meeting was called to order at 4:07pm. th 1. TM will begin on March 19 and Norm thought that the CPC articles would come up th possibly on March 26. Leo said that we should send out a notice to proponents to be there on that night. Betsey said that’s a good idea but let’s wait until March to see if we can confirm the correct date and then send an email. 2. 2006/2007 Status Project review: ??Sheila Watson sent an email saying the blackout curtains may need more money. If so, the curtain increase will have to come up at a public hearing, before a TM vote. A public hearing will be needed if the land acquisitions happen, otherwise, the curtains will have to wait. ??LHS. boiler came in under budget so the question came up where do the additional funds go that were voted by TM. Richard said that Rob Addelson is going to check with DOR. ??LHS. elevator bill question-did the elevator project use the total amount of $44,000 or a partial sum? Judy, can you please check? ??Marilyn is going to make some changes to the Stone Building update after talking to Connie Rawson today. ??Wendy thought the Cultural Survey needed some revision too. Marilyn said she would look at it. ??Edits will go to Judy, Marilyn, and Betsey. 3. FY09 CPC Projects: ??Sandy suggested that we use one format in the future – Project Description, Project Objectives, Project Value, and Funding. Dave Kanter asked that a black box be added at the top of each project page that has the project name, area (affordable housing etc.), amount requested and the vote.
