<br />Community Preservation Committee <br /> <br />April 26, 2006 <br /> <br /> <br />Attending: Marilyn Fenollosa, Wendy Manz, Leo McSweeney, Sandy Shaw, Betsey <br />Weiss <br /> <br />Not attending: Joel Adler, Norm Cohen, Richard Pagett, Dick Wolk <br /> <br />The meeting was called to order at 7:15 p.m. <br /> <br />1. Proposal to 2006 Town Meeting – Fire Station <br /> <br />Betsey announced that an amendment had been submitted Article 28 (c) of the Town <br />Warrant to reduce the proposed expenses for the fire station renovation from $100,000 to <br />$50,000, because it was felt that the Town was not far enough along in the project <br />planning to be able to use the funds in this fiscal period. She reported that Capital and <br />Appropriations support the amendment; the Selectmen are opposed. She requested <br />Committee input as to whether we should reduce our CPC funding proposal by a like <br />amount. <br /> <br />It was moved, seconded and unanimously approved that we should submit the Fire <br />Station project for $100,000 notwithstanding the proposed amendment and other <br />committee objections. <br /> <br />adjourn <br />2.
