<br />Town Celebrations Committee <br />Minutes of Meeting <br />April 12, 2017 <br />Parker Room, Town Office Building <br />Members Present <br />Lorain Marquis, Chair; June Baer, Suzanne Caton, Dick Crogan, Linda Dixon, Carol Flynn, Karen <br />Gaughan, Mary Hutton, Cerise Jalelian, Paul Jenkins, Sondra Lucente, Rich McDonough, Julie Miller, <br />Wayne Miller, Bill Mix, Henry Murphy, Geetha Padaki, Sandy Podgorski, <br />Members not present <br />Glen Bassett, Kim Coburn, Linda Levitt, Dave Taylor, Bob Tracey, Sam Zales <br />Business <br />The Chair declared that a quorum was present. <br />The minutes of April 5 were approved <br />The next meeting will be on April 26, 2017 in the Parker Room, Town Office Building. <br />Lorain introduced Sue Stering who will join the TCC sub-committee <br />Patriots Day, Monday, April 17, 2017 <br />Lorain provided a print out of the afternoon parade roster and asked for a final review. <br />Suzanne will create the final roster versions, both numeric and alphabetic and double-spaced <br />numeric, and send them via email to all the committee members. <br />Dick distributed a picture of the new check-in tent and sign that he is providing. <br />Karen, Dick, and Sue Stering will work at the check-in desk. <br />Sandy will create a list of committee members’ cell phone numbers for use on Patriots Day. <br />Golf cart assignments were discussed. Lorain will send out an email to the committee confirming <br />the golf cart assignments. The carts will be at the Visitors’ Center and committee members can pick <br />them up around noon. They can pick up the keys from June Baer at the Visitors’ Center. <br />Paul confirmed that the sponsor banners will be moved to the East Lexington Fire Station on <br />Saturday morning. <br />Lorain confirmed that copies of the parade unit media sheets should be provided to Lex Media and <br />Susan O’Keefe, who will be announcing the parade units on Patriots Day. <br />The parade stakes will be set up on Sunday at 3 pm. Paul, Wayne, Lorain, Linda D, and Sondra <br />Lucente’s son-in-law Eric will help. <br />Cerise reported that parade vehicle tags will be distributed by the Lexington Police at the parade. <br />Paul showed the committee how the radios borrowed from NEMA work. <br />Committee members should arrive at the re-enactment between 5 and 5:30 am. <br />Lorain will call Peter Kelly to ask for the use of a convertible in the morning parade. <br />The meeting was adjourned at 8:20 p.m. <br />Respectfully submitted, <br />Suzanne Caton, Co-Secretary <br />Future Meetings <br />April 26; May 3; May 10; May 17; May 24; June 7. <br />
