<br />Lexington Center Committee <br />th <br />Notes for the informal meeting (no quorum) of April 13, 2017 <br />Center Committee members: Jeffrey Lyon, Pamela Lyons, Jerold Michelson (Chair) Stacy Sheehan <br />Other: Joe Pato (BOS), Melisa Tintocalis (EDD) <br />Guests: Avram Baskin, Elaine Ashton, Katherine Huang <br />DPW update – Dave Pinsonneault – Patriots Day preparations underway include cleaning, painting and <br />prepping the beds from Pleasant Street to the DPW building. Light out in Depot Square and various <br />painting gaps. Post Patriots Day, sunken area in Depot Square bricks needs resetting. Empty tree wells <br />(related to delay in Streetscape Project.) Parklett goes in around first week of May. Better maintenance <br />for Parklett was encouraged. <br />Melisa was urged to put out the Grain Mill Alley “furniture” from 2015 in the area abutting Mass Ave <br />as a temporary installation. Some discussion of the Bike Node and issues with HDC. <br />Avram Baskin discussed “Lexington Local First.” Action items include local businesses that don't have <br />store fronts. There will be a soap event at Emery Park on May 6. LLF is seeking a source for day <br />insurance. <br />EDD update - Melisa – focusing on activating the old Candy Castle corner. Perhaps a pop up store. <br />Refocusing and re-energizing the Parking Management Group. <br />Some discussion of keeping track of the location of the Police Station as that project unfolds. <br />
