<br />Lexington Human Rights Committee <br />Meeting Minutes <br />December 05, 2014 <br />Present <br />: Al Zabin, Linda Vine, Bonnie Brodner, Aidan Evelyn, Fuang-Ying Huang, <br />Norman Cohen, Melissa Buttaro, Bhumip Khasnabish, and Judy Crocker <br />Meeting held in the Selectmen’s Hearing Room – Town Hall at 8:00 a.m. <br />The Committee reviewed and revised the letters to the resident and the local business <br />involved in an incident in the summer as well as the incident investigating report. Final <br />draft of the letters will be sent to Al, the chair of the committee for signature then to both <br />parties. The Committee agreed that a letter template would be helpful in shortening the <br />response time for similar situations in the future. <br />The Committee also discussed the importance and the role of IRT. Incident Response <br />Team (IRT) is made of members from various town departments that enable quick <br />respond to hate incidents and to report to members’ respective departments of such <br />incidents for the appropriate department to act accordingly and immediately. <br />The committee continued to discuss the monthly meeting time and agreed on the first <br />Friday of the month at 8:00 AM with the exception of January because of the holiday and <br />school break. <br />The meeting adjourned at 9:15 AM. <br />The next meeting is on Jan. 09, 2015 at 8:00AM at Selectman’s Hearing Room. <br />
