TOWN CELEBRATIONS COMMITTEE <br />Virtual Meeting MINUTES <br />September 21, 2022 <br />Members Present (12): Glen Bassett, Linda Dixon, Cerise Jalelian, Gresh Lattimore, Sondra <br />Lucente, Lorain Marquis, Geetha Padaki, Sandy Podgorski, Sue Stering. Absent: Steve Cole, <br />Mary Hutton, Julie Miller. Quorum: 6. <br />Subcommittee Members (15): Sudha Balasuryan, Kevin Collins, Yifang Gong, Kristen Pulkkinen, <br />Ashley Rooney, Hong Xie. Absent: Dabby Harter. (Honorary Members: Henry Murphy, Bob <br />Tracey). 8 Vacancies.<br /> <br />Guests: Kim Katzenbach / Town, Doug Lucente / Select Board liaison.<br /> <br />7:10 PM: Meeting called to order by Chair, Geetha. <br />7:14 PM: Minutes of September 21, 2022, unanimously approved. <br />Expense & Reimbursement Guidelines from Town: <br />- Kim Katzenbach / Town explained the need for prompt submission of proper paperwork for <br />TCC expenses incurred personally by TCC members. Should be submitted within 2 weeks.<br /> <br />- See separate email from Glen including a “Procedure Document,” a Tax Exempt Form for <br />Lexington, and a W9 Form for further details.<br /> <br />Veterans Breakfast / Nov 5 (Lorain): <br />-No door prizes this year.<br /> <br />-Event tickets to be sold for $10 donation at Michelson’s Shoes and Visitors Center. Gina Rada <br />to assist with Veterans’ names and addresses.<br /> <br />-Yifang and Ashley will take photos.<br /> <br />-Minutemen to post colors.<br /> <br />Veterans Day Ceremony / Nov 11 (Linda): -Still not certain where the ceremony will be held. Neither LHS auditorium nor Town schools <br />have available space. Perhaps Minuteman Tech? Museum of National Heritage would cost <br />$900. Still searching!<br /> <br />-Oct 3 deadline for arts projects. Sue has identified 10 stores willing to display this art work.<br /> <br />-Jessie Chen / Never Failing Poppy Project will be contacted to provide handout poppies.<br /> <br />-A history hunt may be planned to encourage interest by younger folks.<br /> <br />Dance Around the World: <br />-This is a bi-annual event (since 2012). Town provides TCC with $5,000 budget to help with the <br />details.<br /> <br />-Council of the Arts / Elizabeth Wu. Is March 18th the date for this event?<br />
