<br /> <br />Town of Lexington <br />Small Cell Wireless Facility Installation Policy <br />Approved November 18, 2021 <br /> <br />The Town of Lexington Select Board (the adopts this <br />%_SPiHZbYj&'MdLYO_S\]Z`RST_^i8ZL\]Oj& <br />Small Cell Wireless Facility ng the placement of small <br />?Y^_LWWL_TZYEZWTNd%_SPiEZWTNdj&\]PR`WL_T <br />cell wireless facilities , including all related equipment and devices in order to address <br />%iGJ<j& <br />the demand for SWF and <br />_SPHZbYk^TY_P\]P^_^TYSPLW_S'bPWQL\]PLYO^LQP_d'L^bPWWL^_SP <br />aesthetic character of the Town. <br /> <br />This policy is subject to and intended to be consistent with the Federal Communications <br />In the Matter of Accelerating Wireless Broadband Deployment by <br />9ZXXT^^TZY%i<99j&D\]OP\] <br />Removing Barriers to Infrastructure Investment, Declaratory Ruling and Third Report and <br />Order -79 and 17-84 <br />%_SPi<99GXLWW9PWWJT\]PWP^^D\]OP\]j&'<99JH:ZNVP_CZ^),2 <br />(September 27, 2018); 47 U.S.C. §§ 253 and 332; M.G.L. c. 166, §§ 21 and 22; and other <br />applicable laws and regulations. The terms used herein are defined consistent with the FCC <br />Small Cell Wireless Order. <br /> <br />The Select Board considered climate change, systemic racism and disabilities in its adoption of <br />this Policy. <br /> <br /> <br />1.Small Cell and Small Wireless Facilities (SWF) <br /> <br />SWF include those that meet the following conditions, consistent with Federal Communications <br /> <br />9ZXXT^^TZY%i<99j&N\]T_P\]TL5 <br />1. SWF that: <br />i. Are mounted on structures 50 feet or less in height including their antennas, or <br />ii. Are mounted on existing structures no more than 10 percent taller than other <br />adjacent structures, or <br />iii. Do not extend existing structures on which they arelocated to a height of more <br /> <br />than 50 feet or by more than 10 percent, whichever is greater; <br />2. Each antenna associated with the deployment, excluding associated antenna equipment, is <br />no more than three cubic feet in volume; <br />3. All other wireless equipment associated with the structure, including the wireless <br />equipment associated with the antenna and any pre-existing associated equipment on the <br />structure, is no more than 17 cubic feet in volume; <br />4. The SWF do not require antenna structure registration pursuant to FCC regulations; <br />5. The SWF are not located on Tribal lands, as defined under 36 CFR 800.16(x); and <br />6. The SWF do not result in human exposure of radio frequency radiation in excess of the <br />applicable safety standards specified in FCC regulations. <br /> <br /> <br />{A0638426.2 } <br /> <br />
