Town of Lexington <br />Tourism Committee <br />Dawn McKenna, Chair (781) 862 -0500 ext 84585 <br />Draft Minutes <br />Thursday, May 26, 2016 at 4:00 — 5:30 pm <br />Parker Room (Lower level Town Office Building) <br />Members Present: Kerry Brandin, Bebe Fai ick, Trisha Kennealy, Dawn McKenna, Wim Nijenberg <br />Staff Present: Masha Traber, Megan Zammuto <br />Members Absent: Marsha Baker, Leeying Wu, Margaret Coppe, Jon Himmel <br />1) Minutes <br />The committee reviewed three sets of minutes from meetings held on February 11th, March 31st, and <br />April 25th. <br />A motion was made to approve the Minutes of February 11th, March 31', , and April 25th. The motion was <br />seconded and approved unanimously. <br />2) Goal Setting <br />The committee reviewed the goals that were approved at the May 12th meeting. <br />A motion was made to approve the final language of the memo to the Board of Selectmen regarding <br />committee goals. The motion was seconded and approved unanimously. <br />3) Marketing <br />The committee discussed marketing, and the importance of using the Linger in Lexington logo with our <br />partners. <br />4) Tourism Committee Operations — Staff Update <br />Megan Zammuto attended the Battle Road Byway meeting. She will begin attending these meetings and <br />plans to report back to the Tourism Committee. <br />5) Updates & Miscellaneous <br />Jon Himmel is officially the designee from the Tourism Committee on the Center Streetscape <br />Committee. Trisha Kennealy announced that The Inn at Hastings Park will be in AAA Travel & Leisure, <br />and it will also be on Chronicle. Public Works Director Dave Pinsonneault is working on tourism capital <br />projects and he will give a status update towards the end of May. The committee discussed the <br />monuments and memorials committee. The committee also discussed inviting facilities to come to he <br />June meeting to discuss the Visitors Center. <br />Adjourned at approximately 5:32 p.m. <br />Respectfully submitted, Megan J.
