<br />A Meeting of the Lexington Youth Commission was held on Thursday,December 14th,2023.
<br />The meeting began at 7:00pm in the LHS Library Media Center

<br />1.Read and Approve November Meeting Minutes
<br />-Sofia read the November meeting minutes which were approved by the committee.
<br />2.Debrief Turkey Dinner Deliveries
<br />-Charlie and Ava discussed some issues they had,going forward we will make sure that
<br />the recipient's phone numbers are on the address labels for next year.
<br />-Everyone was able to deliver all their dinners and had a good experience.
<br />-Families were thankful and excited to receive the dinners,some members even received
<br />thank you notes.We had a record #of deliveries in a record 60 minutes.
<br />We took a brief intermission and sang happy birthday to Owen Rosenthal
<br />3.Debrief Depot Square Tree Lighting/Santa
<br />-The committee members who participated in Tree Lighting had a great time,the
<br />residents who attended the event loved the costumes,the bells,and the general holiday
<br />spirit of the event.
<br />-Maddie Lucente,our LYC Alumni set the tone along with the committee members,
<br />singing holiday songs,and having great audience participation.
<br />-
<br />4.Debrief Toys For Tots
<br />-This was a very good event with an awesome turnout by both committee members,and
<br />toy donations.We had quite a few members who not only donated their time,but
<br />donated toys too.
<br />-The Toys for Tots coordinator told Detective Sowle that we were one of the top collectors
<br />in our area.
