PLANNING BOARD MINUTES <br /> MEETING OF APRIL 11, 1994 <br /> The meeting of the Lexington Planning Board held in Room G-15, Town Office Building, <br /> was called to order at 7 15 p.m. by Chairman Domnitz, with members Canale, Davison, <br /> Merrill, Planning Director Bowyer, and Assistant Planner Marino present. Mr. Grant <br /> was absent <br /> 69. Review of Minutes The Board reviewed and corrected the minutes for the <br /> meeting of February 28, 1994. On the motion of Mr Canale, seconded by Mrs <br /> Davison, it was voted 4-0 to approve the minutes, as amended. <br /> ************************ PLANNING DIRECTOR'S REPORT *********************** <br /> 70 Staff Renorts <br /> a. Architectural, Design Considerations Mr. Domnitz commented on Item 45 in the <br /> minutes of February 28, 1994 that referred to a computer word search of the Zoning <br /> By-Law for the words 'architectural' and 'character ' Mr. Marino had completed the <br /> search, identifying the sections that contain those phrases Mr Domnitz thought <br /> the list should be developed further to extract the wording in addition to the <br /> section references Mrs Davison said those citations would be very helpful to the <br /> Design Advisory Committee <br /> b. Nishan's Wav Subdivision Plan, Staff Analysis Mr. Bowyer distributed a copy <br /> of the staff analysis of the Nishan's Way definitive subdivision plan on which a <br /> public hearing will be held on Wednesday, April 13. He noted that the Board has the <br /> responsibility to select the name of the subdivision street. If the Board does not <br /> like a name suggested by the applicant, it can exercise its responsibility and <br /> choose an appropriate name He asked that the Board review the waivers that are <br /> requested by the applicant, weigh the balance of benefits to the developer and those <br /> to the Town, and use conditions included in the approval to guarantee that the <br /> development contains features that are in the public interest. <br /> ***************** ADMINISTRATION OF LAND DEVELOPMENT REGULATIONS ************ <br /> SUBDIVISION OF LAND <br /> 71 Dana Court, Definitive Subdivision Plan The Board reviewed a draft of a <br /> certificate of action and decision on the special permit as prepared by the staff. <br /> There were no changes made to the draft of either decision; they were approved as <br /> written On the motion of Mr Canale seconded by Mrs Davison, the Board voted 4-0, <br /> with Mr. Grant absent, to <br /> 1) approve the definitive subdivision plan, entitled "Dana Court, Lexington, MA", <br /> dated January 20, 1994; <br /> 2) approve the certificate of action, dated April 12, 1994; <br /> 3) grant a special permit with site plan review (SPS) for a planned residential <br /> development/conventional subdivision; and grant other special permits as cited <br /> in the decision; <br /> 4) approve the decision, dated April 12, 1994, granting the special permit with <br /> site plan review (SPS) , and other special permits as cited in the decision <br /> as amended. <br /> 72. Dias Drive. Preliminary Subdivision Plan Mrs Davison reported she had <br /> talked with Larry Whipple, local historian, about the name for the subdivision <br /> street. She suggested it be named Schoolhouse Way because Whipple says that <br />
