PLANNING BOARD MINUTES <br /> MEETING OF MARCH 30, 1994 <br /> The meeting of the Lexington Planning Board held in Room G-15, Town Office Building, <br /> was called to order at 7 09 p m. by Vice Chairman Davison with members Canale, <br /> Grant, Merrill, and Assistant Planner Marino present. Mr Domnitz came in during <br /> Item 63 Planning Director Bowyer was absent. He was attending the annual confer- <br /> ence of the Massachusetts Association of Planning Directors <br /> *************************** PUBLIC PARTICIPATION ************************** <br /> 63. Hardy Pond Watershed Flooding Eric Mollo-Christensen, 10 Barberry Road, <br /> owner of record of the Swommonland parcel in the Hardy Pond watershed, brought to <br /> the Board's attention the recent report by Fugro, East, an environmental consulting <br /> firm, which was contracted for by the Conservation Commission. <br /> He said that the report states that the watershed of Hardy Pond Brook is blocked on <br /> the Waltham side of the Lexington town border The flooding of the Swommonland and <br /> the private lots near it is due to the development upstream in recent years State <br /> law has given support to a court order not to issue any building permits that will <br /> cause storm water release into a blocked watershed. <br /> He hopes the Board will take account of this information in their decisions <br /> ***************** ADMINISTRATION OF LAND DEVELOPMENT REGULATIONS ************ <br /> SUBDIVISION OF LAND <br /> 64 Dias Drive. Preliminary Plan, Informational Meeting Mrs. Davison opened the <br /> informational meeting Nine people were in the audience Mr Marino introduced <br /> Gary Larson of Larson Associates, landscape architects for the project. Rick Waitt <br /> of Meridian Engineering Collaborative, Inc , engineers for the project, was also <br /> present. Mr. Larson presented preliminary subdivision plans for a three acre parcel <br /> off Concord Avenue <br /> The plans show three houses on a new road, 20 feet wide in a 40 feet right of way <br /> 210 feet long, with hammerhead turnaround. The houses are set back as far as <br /> possible from Concord Avenue to retain the natural appearance Many mature trees <br /> will be left undisturbed. He explained the drainage plan which takes the Swommon- <br /> land problem into account <br /> The Board encouraged the developer to consider another name for the street <br /> Tom Valkevich, an attorney representing Inez Dias, owner of 389 Concord Avenue said <br /> that his client likes the plan because it protects her privacy <br /> After some discussion the Planning Board directed the staff to include the following <br /> information and conditions in the preliminary plan indicating what will he required <br /> in the definitive plan submission. <br /> 1. The format of the plans are to be completed in accordance with paragraphs <br /> 3 4.2.6 and 2.4.6 of the 1993 edition of the Development Regulations. <br />
