PLANNING BOARD MINUTES <br /> MEETING OF MAY 24, 1993 <br /> The meeting of the Lexington Planning Board held in Room G-15, Town Office <br /> Building, was called to order at 7 35 p.m by Chairman Williams, with members <br /> Canale, Davison, Domnitz, Planning Director Bowyer, and Assistant Planner <br /> Marino present Mr. Grant arrived during Item 78. <br /> 77. Review of Minutes The Board reviewed the minutes for the meeting of <br /> February 22, 1993. On the motion of Mr Domnitz, seconded by Mrs. Davison, it <br /> was voted 3-0 to approve the minutes, as written. Mr Canale abstained from <br /> voting as he was not a member of the Board at the time. <br /> The Board reviewed and corrected the minutes for the meeting of March 8, 1993. <br /> On the motion of Mrs. Davison, seconded by Mr Domnitz, it was voted 4-0 to <br /> approve the minutes, as amended. <br /> ******************************** IN MEMORIAM ******************************** <br /> The Planning Board observed a moment of silence in memory of Jacquelyn R. <br /> Smith. Mrs. Smith was a member of the Planning Board from 1981 through 1986 <br /> She also served as the Board's Chairman. <br /> ************************ PLANNING DIRECTOR'S REPORT *********************** <br /> 78 Staff Reports <br /> a. Dean Curtin CS district Dean Curtin owns property on Marrett <br /> Road in the CS and CN districts. He would like to change the Use Table or the <br /> zoning district designation to permit other uses, including restaurants and <br /> offices <br /> The Board agreed to meet with Mr. Curtin closer to the 1994 Town Meeting to <br /> consider when and under what circumstances the zoning designation on both <br /> sides of Marrett Road might be changed. They do not favor changing the Use <br /> Table. The Board also agreed that public benefits, including improving the <br /> appearance of both districts, will be an important consideration in whether <br /> they support a rezoning. The Board said that the paved area behind the Bridge <br /> House that creates access to the commercial buildings should be removed. The <br /> parking of Coldwell employees from across the street is also undesirable <br /> They urged Mr. Curtin to use professional assistance, such as a landscape <br /> architect, to prepare a design <br /> b. Distribution of Second Draft of Develonment Regulations Mr. <br /> Bowyer distributed notebooks incorporating all the revisions made by the Board <br /> during its initial review. <br /> c. 1993 Edition of Zoning By-Law Zoning Map Mr Bowyer reported <br /> that revisions to the Zoning By-Law and Map are being completed. The map and <br /> by-law will be reprinted soon <br /> *************************** COMPREHENSIVE PLANNING *************************** <br /> 79. Publication of Land Use Change report Mr. Bowyer explained that <br /> Section 12 of the Land Use Change report has a number of questions and issues <br />
